Longing for Spring

In order to get myself excited for this:

 I spruced up around here. And by that, I mean I put a few things together on my desk because I got bored one night (: {Yes, I finished my homework first, mom.}

First, I bought some fresh flowers.  Best way to add life to a room!

I also put together a small bouquet on my desk:
Notice my favorite book: Shabby Chic Interiors by Rachel Ashwell.
I framed a card my mama sent me in the mail.  Isn't it just perfect for spring? And the rain boots are pretty spot on, considering my location.

Here's my hurricane jar full of gum balls.  It may or may not have been inspired by Juicy Couture's store displays. If you ever come over, these are not for eating.  Decoration only (:

I just got a new Anthro candle, and put it in the gum balls.  It's a cute way to add color to my desk space and smells extra delicious!

See that cute card down there?  It's from my blogging BFF and pen pal, Megan, from Mackey Madness. Handwritten notes are the key to my heart.
It made my day. Thanks, Meg (:
Want to see it lit?

There ya have it! What are you doing to prepare for the arrival of Spring?

Love and Gum Balls,

  12. I am SO with you!! I am just dying for spring! I feel like everything is devoid of color and fun! Fresh flowers totally do the trick! I also bought my favorite spring candle from Anthro and have been burning it non-stop. Out with the spice candles and in with the florals!

  28. I love that you have a framed card... what a great idea. I have saved a lot of cards recently.. maybe I'll frame a card from our wedding or something. Cute idea!

    Thanks for giving us a heads up on the gum balls. I would have felt bad if I visited you one day and then ate your favorite gum ball or something.

    I really haven't been preparing for the arrival of spring yet.. we're actually probably moving out of our place soon, so I won't be changing much until then. (:
