In my Suitcase

Well, hello! Today I'm taking off to go visit Megan, from Mackey Madness, in the good 'ole Southern state of Louisiana. I guess we'll all find out if she's really who she says she is, or if she's a creepy old man (; Kidding.

Because I'm going on a vacation, I thought I'd show you what's in my suitcase. I'm a nervous packer in general. I always want enough options, and since I've never been to the South before, I hope I got it right! I can do hot...but hot and HUMID? Not my forte! Here are a few things I've got tucked away in my suitcase... {and my camera is packed so it's iphone picture time!}






Of course some accessories...nice and simple.  Make up bag, flower hair clip, sparkly headband, Tiffany's bracelet {my everyday one piece of jewelry}, and some purple aviators.


Me and my orangey-red- hot nails are ready to hit it! {Shellac, of course}

Our plan is to hang around in Megan's town for a few days, then drive to her college town and finally, New Orleans!

    Your outfits are perfect!! I went to New Orleans a few years ago for Habitat for Humanity. Even though most of my time was spent on a construction site, I fell head over heels for the city...it is so unique and has a vibe that is completely unmatched anywhere else! Plus the architecture is gorgeous, and I know you're going to find tons of design inspiration from it! :) Have a safe and wonderful trip!

    michaela you remind me so much of a sweet southern belle that it surprises me you haven't been down there.
    I lived in downtown new orleans for three summers during college and fell head over heels in love. I would move there for good in a heartbeat if it was possible.

    You two HAVE to go to sucre! eat a cupcake for me. they are ammmazing. any of their desserts, and i'll admit i've tried quite a few (;

    you HAVE to go to a "jazz brunch." The food is well... everywhere!... all the stuff people say you "have to try" while you are in NOLA... and it's just yummy. Plus, a band plays while you eat... and I must say, I was impressed by the guys playing for us. The singer sounded like Jason Mraz kinda.

    You might want to see Bourbon St. one night... but seriously... just be careful.

    Oh and go on a swamp tour! we really wanted to, but we couldn't fit it into the schedule.

    Aww sweeties, you're gonna have a blast!! Be careful flying down. You nailed it with all your picks. Love that purple top and white shorts! It's actually cooled down a bit so it's not as humid as it has been.

    New Orleans is my most favorite place in the whole wide world! We only live 3 hours away, so we go when we can. It's such a great city! You MUST eat red beans and rice while you're there!
