If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen me post about a new piece of art I had my friend, Chelsea, do to complete our gallery wall. She used watercolor to paint a picture of my bridal bouquet! I'm so in love with it, because it's one of my very favorite details of our wedding day, so I'm really thankful to have the memory of it preserved in the painted form. I thought I'd show you the final product today!
The gallery wall hangs at the top of our stairs, as you walk into our apartment, so this is our entry way.
I absolutely love this piece! I'm so grateful to have such an amazingly talented painter as a friend!! Every time someone comes over, they ohhh and aww over this art. I just thought the other day about what a perfect gift this would be as a wedding planner, photographer or florist, to give to a bride. I know I would love it :)
Now our gallery wall is finally complete! Do you have any unique pieces that are extra special in your gallery collections?
Happy Wednesday!

It perfect Michaela. A dear friend of my MIL's painted a watercolor bouquet on one of our wedding invitations. Such a lovely keepsake.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, and I love the mixture of mediums, adds visual interest! I love gallery walls, and might be guilty of having too many of them in our home...but with 3 kids and 14 years of marriage there are so many stories to tell! My favorite gallery wall is actually a collection of stretched canvases made by my kids at a chain of art studios called 4cats. It's really colorful and cheery and is the first thing you see when you come in our house.
ReplyDeleteThat's so fun + special, Kerri! I bet it's beautiful!
DeleteI love it! That would certainly be a welcome gift to any bride! I have a question for you. In your business, do you see many couples that include several framed wedding photos in their gallery walls? Is this more specific to newly married couples, and those that are more established include other types of pictures? Curious as I am thinking about a gallery wall in our bedroom, and I an thinking of only including one wedding photo... (not sure yet!)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nicole!! And YES! Clients of mine have done a number of things. Sometimes we do all one occasion (like wedding or family pictures) and then other times it's a mash up of a bunch of different things-- one wedding, one family, one with a parent, pictures from travels, a print, etc. :) That's the best part about gallery walls; you can really make it what you want!
DeleteI have paintings I bought in Europe and a special piece from an artist that is my last to get framed.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that sounds beautiful!
