Hues of Spring

First off, thank you so much for your sweet comments on yesterday's post! Henry and I enjoyed reading through the comments together. We took great notes on your long distance relationship advice :) We're feeling really blessed by your encouragement!

I'm just coming off Spring Break, so pardon my SPRING brain! Today I'm sharing some of my favorite springy hues.  I can't get enough of the turquoise, yellow, tangerine and pinks of the season. Bring.it.on.

What are your favorite colors of Spring?

Hope you have a relaxing and colorful weekend :) I'll be busy doing some DIY projects, putting together a little Easter basket for my man, and catching up with friends!
What are your plans?

Quick question- is there a design topic you're dying to learn more about? I'd love to write on specific topics if you have burning questions! :)

She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not: A Newfound Treasure

Wednesday is here again and I couldn't be more thrilled to introduce you to yet another stylish design and fashion blogger.  Meet Anna of A Newfound Treasure
She's a stylish girl after my own heart who lives and breathes interior design, fashion, photography, DIY projects & thrifty finds. She's also sweet as pie and showcases incredible pictures filled with inspiration over at her blog. Let's hear what she's loving and what she's not this week!

Hey y'all! It's Anna here from A Newfound Treasure. I was so thrilled when sweet Michaela asked me to share my likes and dislikes as of late. I kept things centered around decorating and fashion. Easy, since those are my 2 loves and the main focus of my blog…

She Loves Me:

1. Suzani. A boho vibe is right up my alley.

2. Art. Whether an abstract or nude sketch, you can never have too much art. Gallery walls are a great way to display loads of your favorite pieces.

But sometimes a single, oversized canvas is the perfect addition to a space.
inspired!

3. Gold. Specifically gold leafing. Gaaahh-orgeous!

Or a touch of gold. Such as:

Or an arm party of gold… either way, gold takes the win any day, every day.

4. Dark Walls. So moody, I just can't get enough!

5. Dye. The look of watercolor-everything or anything that has been splattered with / dipped in ink of some sort has me swooning!

She Loves Me Not:

1. Shabby Chic. Not a fan, at all.

2. Trend fail. While florals are in, this dress is the worst thing I've ever seen. What's worse is that it is sold out… people actually bought this!

3. Cats. More like hate. And I'm allergic.

4. Rude people. No one likes a grump!
be nice

Thanks for letting me crash the blog today! If you like what you see from me, check out more at A Newfound Treasure. I look forward to seeing you there…

XOXO

Thank you so much, friend! I think you hit on so many of my current loves! Gold leaf is topping the charts. And I hate to say it, but kitty's just aren't totally my thing either. Dogs all the way for this girl :)

Stop by A Newfound Treasure today to say hello to Anna!

Happy Wednesday! What are you loving this week?!

Spring Touches Around Our Home

This past week while I was home, we added some fun Spring and Easter touches to our home. First up was our Spring Mantel.  With just two new additions from Pottery Barn and some knick knacks from around the house, we came up with a simple and sweet arrangement.

Yummy smelling potpourri and a ceramic vase from Pottery Barn...
White distressed candlesticks...
A while back I had a beautiful photograph taken by Sarah Tucker Travel Photography printed on a canvas.  The pinky hues are perfect for this Spring feel! I layered the canvas on top this PB vintage metal art.

In the family room, I thought this corner needed a little love. I've always wanted a metal letter from Anthropologie, so I picked one up on my trip there last week. I bought two frames {both 40% off $8 from Michael's!} and hung them on either side of the "W".

After:
What do you think? Have you done anything to spruce up for Spring yet?

Hope you have a lovely Tuesday...
I'll be flying back to school to start my last quarter in Seattle...yay!

PS. Welcome to my sponsor Jillian from Mimi Nicole

Jillian blogs about all things wedding and design, as she's a wedding and event stylist {and was just featured on Style Me Pretty!}. I adore everything she comes up with and I know you will, too! Go say hello!
