Friday Finds: NSale Favorites

Hi friends! I hope you've had a great week. Summer is flying by! If you haven't heard yet (ha, of course you've heard if you've been on Instagram in the last week!), the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is live! This week is for cardholders to shop and next week it opens to the public. I'm a cardholder and today is the first day I can shop, so I thought I'd share some things that caught my eye. This will be the only post I do on the sale, as to now overwhelm you :)

First up are some home and beauty finds:

This is a super affordable and very cozy blanket (I have two!), I love Aveda hair products, this is my most-loved curling iron of 3 years, a luxurious blanket, and our shower curtain that everyone loves.
SHOP:

Next up are some clothes and shoes:

These work out leggings are a crowd favorite, I got this bra from the sale last year and I love it (another is in my cart), I love these booties for fall, thought this long sleeve had a fun ruffle detail, and I love these jeans.

SHOP:

Do you have your eye on anything?! Would love to know!

Happy Shopping!

Friday Finds

Hi friends! Happy Friday! I hope you enjoyed your week. I feel like I finally got back into the swing of work after the holidays, the wedding I helped design and plan, and then recovering from said wedding last week ;) I started with two new design clients this week and I'm so excited about both of their projects. It was also a good week because we booked our Florida trip for mid-February!! I could burst with excitement. The sunshine couldn't come soon enough.

I'm bringing Friday Finds back with some great sale items you might love, but first I shared my reading list for 2020 on Instagram and thought I'd post it here, too, incase you missed it.

1. The Gospel Comes with a House Key by Rosaria Butterfield (practicing radical hospitality)
2. Stop Calling Me Beautiful by Phylicia Masonheimer (pursuing deeper truths about who God is and who you are in relationship with Him-- comes out in February)
3. Humble Roots by Hannah Anderson (how humility grounds and nourishes your soul)
4. Mark of the Lion by Francine Rivers (I'm going to try to get through the first in the three-part series, though it’s long which makes me nervous)
5. To Hell with the Hustle by Jefferson Bethke (Reclaiming your life in an overworked, overspent, and overconnected world)
6. The Prenup by Lauren Layne (fun rom-com)

* I also might try to fit in one or two more reads if I have time, but without pressuring myself to get to them, from this list: Tending Roses, Letters to the Church, The Flatshare, Get Out of Your Head, Where the Crawdads Sing, Liturgy of Ordinary.

I just started an Amazon store front so I can keep all of my favorite Amazon purchases in one spot for you guys! I have lists of home, tech, book, and general favorites. I hope this is helpful for you! My favorite and most used items within my lists are below:

1. Microwavable Heating Pad: great for neck, back or stomach cramps. I use this 24/7 in the winter just to stay warm! It also smells amazing.

2. Yeti Tumbler: this is what I drink from daily. I even bring it to the gym! I also just learned I can get my Starbucks drinks made in my own cup which keeps it so much warmer for longer :)

3. Gua Sha Face Tools: just started this since getting it for Christmas and love it!!

4. Steamer: we never even iron anymore and it's the best.

5. Alba Lotion: we both use this daily after showering, and since I'm a lotion addict, I have a little container in my purse that I use throughout the day. It's also totally safe for your body!

6. AirPods: we both got these for Christmas and I have to say, I'm hooked!

7. Lincoln's Dog Treats: these are the best because they smell amazing (I was so tired of smelling terrible dog treats every time I opened his treat jar ;)) Natural and healthy, too!

SALES:
LOFT: 40% off full priced items

Anthropologie: 40% off sale items

Madewell: Extra 40% off sale items

Nordstrom: lots of fun sale items!

Happy weekend!

Friday Finds: Favorite Fall Boots

Happy Friday! Fall is in full effect over here in the Midwest! What about where you are? In fact, we're going up North this weekend to Traverse City to see the pretty fall colors. I can't wait!

Since we pretty much live in boots from October-April, I thought I'd share some of the boots and booties catching my eye this season.

SHOP:

Do you gravitate more towards tall boots or booties? I always grab my booties first, probably because they're so comfy, but I do love my black Penny Riding Boot. I also secretly love my Uggs. When it's this cold, all style goes out the window. I got these cute one with bows last year for Christmas and I love them! Then I have a realllyyy bad black pair I wear to take the dog outside in (I've had them for 10 years...yikes!)

Do you have any favorite boots I need to know about?!
Have a great weekend! Be sure to follow on Instagram along on if you'd like to see some gorgeous fall color!

Friday Finds: 5 of my Favorites

Hi friends, happy Friday! I hope you had a great week! My husband came down with a cold, so he's home from work today and I've got the thieves diffusing and I'm taking a bunch of vitamins so I can try to avoid it. So far it's not too bad, thankfully!
Today I'm sharing 5 of my favorite finds as of lately, then some sales down below. Let me know what you're loving in the comments!
1. This cozy pullover. I've worn it three times this week...don't judge ;) You wouldn't if you knew just how amazing it was! It's on sale for under $50 today. I got the XS and it's still a little over-sized which I like. It's lined with the same fabric inside as you see on the outside. So warm!
 Don't miss this, girls.

I got the cream with black trim and it's great-- goes with everything!

2. The new Blondo bootie design this year is so cute with the detail on the back! I have last year's design in this heel height and they're awesome. These are the waterproof booties I always talk about! Just give them 3 wears and they'll be the most comfortable bootie you've ever worn. And I ordered 1/2 size up, like suggested, and it was perfect.

3. Beautycounter launched their gift sets for the year and you might be thinking "it's too early for holiday!", BUT think of how much time and stress you'd be saving if you got some gifting out of the way now :) Our sets are a great way to try products at a discounted rate, too! This mini face oil set always sells out first! A couple of my personal favorites:
- Skin care favorites: this has our cleansing stick, mini charcoal mask, full sized resurfacing peel (my favorite product ever) and mini brightening face oil. This is an amazing value at under $100.
- Lip polishing set: this comes with a lip scrub (so necessary in the winter!), balm and clear gloss, all of which I love!
- Lip Jellies Collection: 5 of these little lip jellies which are hydrating and each have their own scent-- butterscotch, sorbet, raspberry, orange cream and peppermint. Perfect to give as a set or break up and give one to each of your girls.
4. Pretty much all the Madewell sweaters. I'm so excited because a Madewell store is opening 5 minutes (dangerously close) from our house in about 10 days! I can't wait!! Here are my faves this week:

This one might be my all time favorite. I've been eyeing it for a couple weeks now and and it's on sale + an additional 30% off! It comes in cream, blush and deep red / berry. The little balls on the sleeves are SO cute and I love that oversized sleeve with the tight wrist.

5. These sweats! Okay, I finally got to feel these Lou & Grey from the LOFT sweatpants and they are the softest things I've ever felt, ever. Like literal butter. I told my mom about them and she promptly went to the store to get herself a pair (and rumor has it she grabbed me a pair for my birthday in 2 weeks ;)) You can dress them up and down or sleep in them...Can I get an AMEN?! True to size.

Those are my Friday Finds this week! Hope you have a great weekend!

Friday Finds: Target Favorites

On Monday I went to Target for one thing: Brita Filters. I left with wayyy more than that ;) I know I'm not the only one this happens to in Target!

Universal Thread brand had so many cute clothes, probably because it's back to school time! I wanted to show you some of my favorites. I shared these on my Insta Stories this week, so sorry if you're seeing them again, but because those go away after 24 hours I figured it wouldn't hurt.

This blush tee is super soft (from my favorite brand-- a new day). It's longer in the back than the front and has a cute seem down the back. It'll be easy to dress down (jean shorts) and fun to style up (pair with white denim and wedges with a long necklace). And for $9, it was a no brainer! Wearing an XS.

LOVED this stripe tee and it's $5! It would go with everything from shorts to jeans and work out pants ;) And these chambray shorts are so cute. Elastic waist band, yes please!

I tried this wrap dress and really liked everything about it, except the color on me. But a reader on Instagram stories told me I probably didn't like it because I wasn't used to it, but that it is a nice color on me. I would have to get used to it! They have it in blush and cream, too, just not in the store.

This striped jumpsuit was adorable and I would have gotten it if it fit just a bit better. I'm in an XS and it fit everywhere except the chest area was too big. I'm a B cup for reference.

For $35, these overalls were darling!! Paired with a stripe tee, they're perfect for fall.

This was my favorite little sundress I tried on. It's little navy and white flowers and it's a midi length.
I also adored this cardigan in both these colors!

The other thing I got and absolutely love so far is a new Tenoverten nail polish! They are 8-free which means they don't have 8 of the more harmful ingredients traditional polishes have. I love that! I got the color Mott and painted my nails Monday and they're still totally perfect today (writing this Thursday night!)
I found some really fun decor pieces at Target, too! Take a peek below:

WEEKEND SALES:
Loft: 40% off full price styles with code FUNFUNFUN
Madewell: up to 70% off summer picks. Also, I found the perfect dress!!
J.Crew: up to 50% off fall styles. This top is to die for!
Draper James: sale styles are so cute!
Anthropologie: 25% extra off sale
I hope you have an awesome weekend! I'll be taking next week off blogging and instagram just as a way to refresh and relax, free of social media. I'll be back the following week :)

Friday Finds: Spring Dressing Room Favorites

I went on a little shopping trip for you guys to show you some of my favorites from LOFT. I loved every.single.thing I tried on (which is rare!) so get ready... :)

This wrap blouse is so sweet and feminine. I love the floral pattern (you'll see it in a jumpsuit below too) and I love the bow that ties at the side. The sleeves are flowy, which I love!

This top was an unexpected find for me! It's a sweater material but has a short sleeve, which is slightly puffed at the top, then tighter around the arm for a cute detail. I love the soft neutral floral print. I love a front tuck, so that's how I'd style it, but you could also pair it with a skirt instead of jeans!

I love stripes and ruffles, so this striped sweater with a ruffle hem came home with me! It's simple and perfect for spring when sometimes it can still be slightly chilly, but you still want to show some arm ;)

I always gravitate towards white blouses! I have more neutral tops than anything else. This white eyelet shirt is SO SOFT and I just adored it tucked in. Can you imagine it with a pair of wedges to dress it up?! Eyelet anything is my favorite, that totally got me.

The sleeve detail is so adorable:

This simple floral tee was adorable! Such a great spring staple.

Loved this green jacket too! Perfect weight for spring.

I'm in LOVE with this floral jumpsuit. It's so comfortable, has a fitted waist (but it's stretchy, so not too tight!), pockets (yay!) and a snap at the neckline. It's a crop length, so perfect for spring and summer! On SALE now!

All about the feminine details like swiss dots and bows! This one was adorable. I loved the color and the slightly capped sleeve.

This black jumpsuit with cute flutter sleeves is super flattering! It has a stretchy waist, pockets, and wide leg pants. It'd be great with flats, wedges or sneakers. On SALE now!

You might have seen on Instagram that this romper came home with me! I am such a sucker for embroidery! One of the reason I love rompers is because the shorts are a little longer, which is great since I'm really self-conscious about being in too short of shorts. This buttons up the front and the buttons are covered in the same material as the romper. It has POCKETS (something I always look for in an outfit I might be wearing to teach a workshop in) and it ties at the waist with a bow. I just adore it!

On SALE now!

Hope you guys have a happy Friday! We get the keys to our house tonight-- hooray!!
