Happy Monday, friends! I hope you had a restful weekend. I'm getting closer and closer to launching my business and am happy to let you know I'll be offering some event design services for showers and parties.
Back in June, I planned and designed a bridal shower for one of my best friend's from high school. {You really start feeling old when your high school friends get married!} I had so much fun dreaming up this backyard affair. The bride's mom offered to host the shower in their gorgeous yard, and although it was 100 degrees outside {which led to us sitting with our feet in the pool!} it was lovely. I'm so honored that the bridal shower is featured on The Wedding Chicks today! Here are a few of my favorite details below. I love this bride; she's one of the kindest, funniest, most joyful friends I have :)
The shower was a "tea" theme, so for the food we did tea sandwiches, fruit salad, mini desserts {the best cake pops ever and petit fours}. Crackers and cheese with delicious bite sized meatballs were our appetizers. Lemonade and iced tea were out in the backyard for guests to grab a jar of right away. Can we talk about the adorable floral straws?! I die.
When guests arrived I had them fill out their recipe card for Codie and Josh {this was noted in the invitation so guests could bring their fave recipe}. They could also fill out a little card with a date idea for the bride-to-be. If the couple ever runs out of date ideas, they can reach in the jar and pull out a new, creative one, thought of by one of Codie's closest friends and/or family! If you ask me, the confetti balloons, tied with peach and gold tassels, is a staple for any party. How cute is that last picture of the bride? Go see the full feature for more cute ones like that. Let's just say we popped the balloon and it leant itself to some adorable pictures.
To thank the guests for coming, I filled little containers with enough loose leaf tea for them to make 3 cups of tea at home. It smelled wonderful and was super cute with my custom stamp from Katie Hoffman Ink .
For even more details from the shower, head to The Wedding Chicks! (I'm not sure what time the feature will be up)
