This past weekend I went to see Gatsby. I was SO excited, because it's one of the few books I enjoyed reading back in high school! I posted that I was going to see it on my instagram before I went, and a few ladies let me know critics aren't fans of the film. Guess what people?! Those critics are crazy! I thought the movie was excellent, enamoring, whimsical, funny, touching {and sad, yes!}, and ultimately, a fantastic watch. The amazing costumes and art deco decor, is reason enough to go see it in my opinion!
When I got home, I whipped up this inspiration board inspired by The Great Gatsby, because if I could I would have seen it again right then in the theatre. I don't normally gravitate toward this decorating style, but you can bet your bottom dollar I'd throw a party themed in all things art deco after seeing the film. I'm in the party-hosting mood!
Who else saw it? What were your thoughts?!
You can also catch me over at Ashley Nicole Catherine sharing some words of wisdom!
Happy Monday!
xoxo

DeleteI absolutely loved the movie! I would love to see it again. I even saw it in 3D (because it was free) and thought the way the emotion was captured in 3D was phenomenal. Such a fan!!
ReplyDeleteOh how cool! I've never been a fan of 3D movie (they sort of make me sick to my stomach), but I bet it was awesome!
