3 Recent Favorites for Your Closet & Home
Okay, ladies. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is almost over. I'm not going to mention it one more time on my blog after this post because I'm sure we're all #overit ;) BUT I have to tell you my 3 BEST purchases and wouldn't you know it, they all start with "B". Ha! I promise I didn't plan this, but hey, I love alliteration, so I'm not mad about it.
Like I've mentioned, I use this Nordstrom sale to stock up on key pieces for fall and winter. Please hear me say I'm not telling you NEED any of these items. We don't need a dang thing! But if you're in the market for a great pair of booties, a new bra or a cozy addition to your bed or sofa, I have found them for you!
1. Blondo Waterproof Booties
These things are comfortable, adorable and practical. How’s that for ya?! Size up a half size to make sure you can wear them with socks. If not, the top of the bootie was a little tight (on me at least!) The 8.5 was perfect (I'm usually a true 8). I know I talk about these shoes constantly, but that's only because I really, truly swear by them. Since they're waterproof, they keep my feet dry and warm in the fall and winter! They're cute with dresses and tights / leggings or jeans. And they're on sale for under $100. Trust me, you'll love these!
In case you don't need this heel height, all of Blondo's shoes I've tried are great. Here's a really low bootie, like the one I got last year. This is a knee high heel. And this is a flat over-the-knee style.
2. Natori Bra
I have a couple bras I like, but when I saw this one on sale with amazing reviews and with a touch of lace, I knew I had to try it! I had a Nordstrom Note (credit to Nordstrom earned by accruing points through shopping) so I got this and my blanket below for free...hooray! It's under $50 on sale!
This bra is super soft, is thin with no push-up padding, but lifts and supports you SO well! I’m constantly reaching for this bra over my others now. The pretty lace makes me feel fancy and put together even though no one else can see it ;) Definitely size up a full cup size as it does run small (thank goodness the reviews and some friends told me this so I made the right choice!) I’ve worn it with thin T-shirt’s and you can’t see through the shirt to the bra which is awesome.
3. Blanket
Holy SOFT!! I needed to replace an old Costco blanket for a while now because our dog chewed a wood piece on it and the little chips of wood got stuck in the blanket. Joys of having a furry friend ;)
This one was recommended to me by one of my clients (love that!!) because she has it in 3 rooms in her house! I’m such a blanket girl; even in the summer, I like to have one on me while I’m sitting on the couch. This one is light-medium weight and has the cutest tassels. The best thing is the current price! At $25 and free shipping, you can’t beat it. It washes really well and comes in tons of color. We have the "vanilla" color which goes perfectly with our sofa. I just wanted to keep it neutral for now, but down the road when we move into a house I might consider getting it in a soft, coordinating color, too!
If you want any of these, snag them before the prices go back up next week!
