Happy Memorial Day, friends! I want to take a second and acknowledge how incredibly grateful we are for the men and women who have given their very lives to serve our country. There are no words to express my gratitude for the freedom we have because of them!
I hope you're doing something fun and relaxing this weekend! We are seeing some friends today, but before we head out, I wanted to share some favorite Memorial Day Sale finds with you. There's a list of all my favorite sales below as well!
SHOP:
CLOTHES
American Eagle: lots of sales including shirts, shorts, skirts and more.
Happy Fourth of July weekend, my friends! I hope you'll enjoy a fun weekend with family and friends (in proper covid fashion, of course ;)) I know that the 4th isn't a celebration of our entire nation being free, but it was a start in the right direction, so for that, I am grateful!
To celebrate, here are some fun sales! (I think this sale weekend is really the last sale on summer items.)
J.Crew: 50% off full-priced styles with code GOFOURTH
Some standouts:
This is the curling iron I use every day; the T3 singlepass 1.25". This rarely goes on sale! I know it's a splurge, but honestly for me, it's so worth it!!
I went into Anthropologie the other day and found this gorgeous dress on sale! I have it on hold. I just adore it! It's 50% off the sale price. I'm wearing an XS. (PS. this is my hair curled with the above curling iron!)
And here are some other favorites for you, all on sale!

Hope you're having a great Monday so far! I'm off teaching The Bloom Workshop today, which is such a joy for me. I can't wait to share about the workshop. You can follow along on Instagram if you'd like :)
Today I'm sharing some of my favorite accessories-- necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and a couple bags-- from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. After today, you won't hear much more about the sale from me (though I'm heading to California on Thursday and might pop in the store to try on a few pieces. If I find some I love, I might share next week!) Hopefully these posts are helpful for you. With thousands of items in the sale, my hope is that I'm weeding through the items and only sharing what I love with you. There's something really exciting going on today, so head to the bottom of the post to find out!

*THIS necklace is almost just like one I have from years ago that I get asked a lot about anytime I wear it. It's so simple and classic. Goes with everything! You'll notice a couple Kendra Scott pieces, which are my favorite jewelry items ever. They're so classy and I just love them!!
I rounded up my favorite pairs of booties from the sale HERE. These are my favorite sandals, sneakers, flats and boots.

Alright-- here's the exciting announcement: I'm giving away a $200 Nordstrom gift card on Instagram today! It goes live at 10am EST, so click here to enter!
Happy Friday! Today is a fun day because it's the first day of the Early Access Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for cardholders.
First things first:If you're not already, the best way to shop the sale is by becoming a member! Becoming a Nordy's Club member was a no brainer. Becoming a member gets you 7 days early access to the Anniversary Sale, gets you a $60 Nordstrom Note (cash to spend at Nordstrom!) if you make a purchase on the first day of opening your card, and you earn 3 points per dollar to get you more Nordstrom Notes faster. So go sign up to become a member, then come back and look around.
I'm only showing you my favorite pieces-- ones I think will be sold out in no time. Things will be sold out by TODAY even, so if you like something, grab it and you can always return it later (free returns!) This Anniversary Sale has some insane deals and I don't want you to miss out. This sale is basically the release of the fall items and after the sale, they're all back up to their normal pricing (August 3rd), but you can still find summery pieces, too!
Next week I will go to Nordstrom when I'm in California to try on some of my favorite pieces, but since we have no Nordstrom here in Grand Rapids, I'm sharing my favorite picks in inspiration boards for those with early access. I'm only showing you pieces that I would actually wear myself. Most pieces are under $100. Sound good?! Let's go!
I will link each item below the pictures and will list them top to bottom, left to right. I will also highlight pieces I think will sell out quickly and add any style notes.
DENIM:
top row:Donna Ankle Skinnies -- I love this brand and got a pair from the 2018 sale. I wear them all the time! I sized down one. / Farrah High Waist Ankle Skinny Jean-- this is my favorite designer brand by far. I have had my AG's for years because the quality is SO good! TTS
bottom row:Wit & Wisdom Skinnies -- love the wash on these & the mold and hold technology sounds amazing. / Frame Le High Skinnies -- fun faded, more casual wash. Another designer brand that's a fan favorite.
top: Thread & Supply Wubby Fleece Pullover -- this one sold out multiple times last year for a good reason! It's cozy, warm and SO cute! Throw on over work out pants or jeans and you're good to go. Comes in a couple colors. This is one I'm getting! / Thread & Supply Fleece Quilted Utility Jacket -- this looks like a must have for living where it gets very cold. Even if it's not warm enough for the winter, it'd take me all the way through fall. The pink color is precious!
middle:Madewell Stripe Cardigan-- love the color blocking! I order TTS because I don't like overly large items. There is some wool in this, but it's Merino, so I'm usually okay with that! Throw on over a white tee and jeans. / Leith Long Cardigan -- long cardi's are so in this year! This one is neutral, chunky and warm.
top: Caslon Allie Wedge -- never thought I'd love a sneaker wedge, but I do! So effortless and I've heard this style is comfortable. / Cole Haan Peeptoe -- Cole Haan is known for their comfort. This is a great heel height and has a cute ankle strap.
middle: Vince Peeptoe-- my mom loves Vince shoes for their comfort and these are so cute with the cutouts! Perfect way to dress up an outfit. / Vince Nethera -- this is a great simple neutral bootie. I have a similar pair to this from 2 years ago and love them! TTS.
bottom: Sole Society Caprica Peeptoe -- adorable buckle detail and easy to dress up or down. / Blondo Nina Waterproof bootie -- I sing Blondo's praises all the time! Waterproof in Michigan is almost a must ;) The braided detail on this year's style is so cute. Love the short heel height, too. I wear TTS on the flat booties but last year I sized up 1/2 size for the heel.
SPLURGE ITEMS:
Okay, that's it for now! Let me know if you're snagging anything. I will be sharing my Nordstrom home finds tomorrow, so come on back :)
** Just a note: I don't think you *need* any of this. You are not less than if you don't buy a single thing. I'm saying this because I need to hear this myself sometimes. Stuff doesn't satisfy us, okay?! But, if you love fashion and like to pick up a couple pieces for the year like me, I try to be a great resource for you!
Happy 4th of July, friends!! I'm beyond thankful to live in a country where we are free. If it weren't for those who fight to serve our country every day, we may have not our freedoms. I'm so grateful! It certainly is a day to celebrate!
Hope you're having today and a great 4 day weekend! We're heading to the beach today and I can't wait :) Here are some of the best 4th of July Sales I found before we headed out!
I'm LOVING this headband trend right now. I wore headbands all the time in high school so this is really bringing me back ;)
Happy Saturday of Memorial Day weekend! My grandma and aunt are in town stopping by to visit our new house (which isn't even close to ready or done, but I'm still excited for them to see it!) The weather isn't great, so while I wish I was somewhere like the below picture soaking up the sun, I think we'll be mostly inside today.
If you're hoping to scoop up some steals and deals this weekend, you're in the right place! I'm sharing my favorite places to shop + their Memorial Day Sale AND some great picks from a couple of the stores.
Okay ladies! I went into the Loft this week in preparation for the big sale and holy moly-- everything is soooo good right now! I did have a pile of "no's" but it wasn't huge ;) I'm going to tell you about my MOST favorite pieces with some style notes. I'm linking to each item under each photo and then at the end is a round up all of the items I'm wearing in one place.
Everything is 40% off right now!!
Size reference:
Height: 5'5"
Chest: 30B
Usual sizes: XS, S, 0, 2, 25
This stripe tee is softer than soft. I love how subtle the stripe is because it pairs SO well with the floral shorts. These shorts are too big on me, but didn't have the size down, so I couldn't show you my right size. They have a lot of stretch in the waist and tie with a drawstring. I definitely needed the XS in them! I could have done a small in the top for a lose fit like this, but sized down for more fitted.
I've been loving all the button details recently! This skirt is so sweet. Lots of stretch in the waist again, and tie it tight with the bow. It is lined! The top is such a fun simple tee but with the sleeve detail, it takes it to another level. This skirt was too big for me in my normal size (pictured) so I would have needed to size down.
This was an adorable button up top and I should have showed you the look with a front tuck or a tie in the front (both are adorable!) but these pants were SO big on me it looked ridiculous ;) This top would be great with white jeans, dark jeans, or tucked into a skirt. Definitely size down in this top.
I loved this look for an easy summer day of errands. I'm in LOVE with the linen shorts. Definitely on my list (come in another color, too!) and then I paired it with a more feminine pink stripe tank. The shorts were true to size for me and for the tank, I needed to size up.
THIS ROMPER. It's so cute!! You can totally dress it up or down. One thing I need to warn you of is it is a thin material so nude undergarments are a must, but I'd still feel comfortable in it. The back is also a "V" shape! I'm wearing my normal XS.
This is super out of my comfort zone, but wanted to show you since it's cute and might be more someone else's style! It's very breezy with the wide legs, so I'd definitely size down. Adorable tie around the waist.
If you're a bride-to-be, these next two are for you! This was one of the cutest white dresses I've tried on in a while. One caution is you might want to wear a slip under it. It IS lined, but it's still thin. However, makes for a great summer dress.
This is my favorite dress of the bunch!! The buttons are a super cute tortoise shell and the top shape is really sweet. It has pockets, is a nice thick chambray and is fitted on the top. Don't be scared by the reviews on the site-- my review is actually different than those! I have a size B chest and I found I had room to spare in the top portion. If you have a bigger chest, size up. But if you have a B or under, your normal size should be good. The one word of caution is for taller ladies-- if you're over 5'6", you may not want to try this one. At 5'5", it was bordering on the shortest I'd go.
This stripe number is the same cut as the chambray one above, except the length. It's a midi. If you want it to the knee, just get the petite size! This was a 2 and was way too big on me, but they didn't have the size down. I would probably order the petite 0 so it's a little shorter and more fitted. But this is ADORABLE and I can totally see it with sandals, wedges, a sun hat....ahh, come on summer! I could see it for an engagement shoot, shower guest, Sunday best...pretty much for any occasion ;)
