Lake House Client Progress

If you follow me on Instagram then you might know I'm working with a client on the design of his brand new lake house. I'm here today with some serious progress shots! I can't wait to show you the fully completed home in about 2 weeks. It's a smaller home, but comes with amazing views of the lake in all the most important rooms.
Here's the front door and entry way, which has these built-ins we designed to double as a bench to put your shoes on when you come in and storage. Doors will be put on the taller cabinet part of the built ins. There will also be hooks put on the top piece of the board and batten / shiplap detail for coats.

The entry hall leads right into the kitchen, which is where I'm standing taking this next photo looking into the dining and living room. Through those windows is the lake view and it's gorgeous! The opening to the far left is the master bedroom.

Since it's a lake house, we wanted to infuse a couple very subtle coastal, yet still traditional elements like the shiplap ceiling in the family room and the beautiful stone fireplace with the rustic beam mantel accent. Below you'll see the shelves, which will have doors installed on the bottom half. I'm so excited to get my hands on styling these shelves. I'll probably do an instagram story in a couple of weeks while I'm out hunting for the accessories.

This is the view standing in the family room, looking back towards the dining and kitchen.

Here's the pretty white kitchen. Since taking these, the hardware has been installed, backsplash went in and spindles have been put on the staircase, which all look so good.

This is one of the accent walls we incorporated into the design here in the master bedroom. The headboard will sit on this wall and provide a lot of contrast, since the headboard is darker. We'll be getting solar shades installed (which will be on a remote control!) and then nice curtains as an accent over that.

Here's a peak at the master bathroom. The cabinets have a gray / brown finish which is really cool, but this photo is so yellow you really can't tell! The temporary lighting they have in there during these pictures was pretty bad ;)

This is the basement rec room. It'll have a TV on the back wall with some sofas and then the kitchenette is right there incase they want to have food and drinks down here.

On the other side of the basement is the opening (which will have double doors) into the office.

I love this board and batten trim work we did. It's simple, but adds height to the room and some dimension, too! We're going to lean some art work up on that ledge.

There's a whole upstairs with kids' bedrooms as well, but they all look the same right now. Here is the upper bathroom. A cool floor + a darker quartz countertop to bring out the gray tones is what we went with.
Incase you're interested, paint colors are Anew Gray (SW), Collingwood (BM), and Functional Gray (SW)

You'll have to come back in about 2 weeks to see the finished home, before furniture gets loaded in! I can't wait to get it photographed. It's so fun to see everything come together that we picked out MONTHS ago.

Hope you have a wonderful Monday!
xoxo
