Bedroom Curtains Complete

They're done!!! {That's me being very excited!} I couldn't be more thrilled with how my curtains turned out. I know you were probably expecting the entire curtain panel to be of the flowered fabric I've showed you, but here's why I decided to just keep it to a small panel:
1. The fabric is pricey, but I adore it, and this is a great way to get a fun print in the room without breaking the bank.
2. If you use your imagination and picture it, I truly think the fabric would have been too much had I made the entire panel out of the graphic fabric.
I'm really happy with the end result, as it adds a pop of color and texture to the room. And I have to say, doesn't the abstract art go smashingly well?! :)

I have to say thank you to my grandma for sewing these for me. I did help a little bit, but she did 95% of the work. It sparked an interest in the sewing machine, though, so that's a start! All we did was sew an 18" panel at the bottom of my preexisting Pottery Barn Cotton Drape.  Here's proof I helped:

Here's the finished product:

Hope approves, don't worry.
So there ya have it! My room is almost complete.  Thanks for following along in the room re-design process :)  What design projects have you been up to lately?

Happy Tuesday!

  13. Looks great, Michaela! I'm lately in love with everything Caitlin Wilson and think this was a perfect way to get her gorgeous fabric in your room. Can you even imagine the cost of full drapes at $60/yd?!? The pillow is such a nice touch too.

  19. I'm so glad you did just a panel. It looks so gorgeous and flowy. I did the same thing with my daughter's nursery curtains and 2 years later I still love the little pop of color and pattern, but am not tired of it. Well done my dear!
