Alright, folks. You're getting a sneak peek into our studio apartment today! My roommate and I put everything together the first night I arrived, but have been making small changes and touching things up ever since. My roommate had all the furniture before {she has great style!!}, since she already lived there. So I added a few things and we rearranged the placement to accommodate more things. Do you ever do that with your house?! The apartment is a studio, so it's one big room and then the bathroom and walk in closet are separate spaces. For one room, it feels quite big and spacious. I'm also happy to report we're yet to get on each other's nerves...I think :) This is definitely my favorite of all the little places I've lived over the years. It's so quaint and charming. Without further adieu...here it is!

Yes, concrete! Good eyes :) Thanks!!
DeleteThis looks fantastic!!! From the pics, I wouldn't have a clue how itty bitty it is. It looks so warm & inviting...like I just want to cozy up on your couch!
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear!
DeleteCozy is right! I can't believe that's a studio it must be huge if you can fit a living room AND two beds! Can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty and sophisticated! Love the couch and the club chair..oh and the kitchen island!!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Looking forward to seeing the rest :) I also LOVE that couch!
ReplyDeleteI love it! This does not look like the studio of two college girls..which is a good thing!! Y'all did a great job! Can't wait for the full tour...or a photo of the whole studio! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sarah! Hopefully coming soon:) Bedroom isn't completed yet!
Deletei LOVE your space! is it creepy i want to see where you sleep and how you girls figured that out?
ReplyDeletei've never lived in a small space... always spaces that are overwhelmingly too big for me.. but, if i try to break up the space and tackle it in "little" spaces it helps...
LOVE the look and feel you have going on.. and that large bird picture is THE BEST!
Michaela! You have such a talent! What a cute and cozy little space. I'm totally hiring you when Matt and I buy a house...not joking! PS...fun finally meeting you the other day! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, friend! I loved meeting you too!
Deleteso cute! i can't wait to see more! i love little apartments.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Especially all the little touches of color and art and that couch! Is it a slipcover or is that the bare couch?
ReplyDeleteHi Victoria! Thanks :) It's a tightly fitted slipcover.
DeleteSo cute! I love everything about your place! You should give us all some small decor tips :)
ReplyDeleteI've lived in an itty bitty apartment in San Francisco where we had to put our couch in the kitchen and the TV on top of the fridge. Oh to be young again!! Can't wait to see how you guys did your bedroom
ReplyDeleteIt looks so charming and sophisticated at the same time! I'd expect nothing less with your amazing style. Glad you are loving it!!
ReplyDeletelove your place! Where did you guys put the bed? I might be moving into a studio in the near future and need to figure out how to style the bedroom portion!

Love these photos! Your place looks adorable! I lived in an itty bitty apartment my first semester in Paris. One of the things that was so wonderful about it was that I could only have things I loved there - there wasn't any room for anything else!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely like! I lovelove that bird print you have over the dresser? Probably cause I'm from Portland and we put birds on everything supposedly:-) xoxo
ReplyDeleteYour furniture is so cute, Michaela!!! You guys have done such a great job utilizing such a small space. Hope you are enjoying living in LA!
ReplyDeleteI've never lived in a *true* apartment but I love the idea of a studio apartment - it's one of those cool things you just have to do. 'Oh hey let's drop by at my studio apartment' sounds ridiculously cool (To me). And exposed construction elements like brick and concrete are kind of compulsory. And then layering them with pretty items and getting that mix of industrial and chic..... the coolest. it looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteHm, I think I need your creative mind in my home. Very nice!!
ReplyDeleteMichaela,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on my blog :) It is quite freezing over here- about 15 degrees to be exact! Ah! I have no ambition to venture outside AT ALL....
I absolutely love your cute little studio- you are more than welcome to come and decorate our apartment anytime :)
xx Lynzy

I like the little quote signs and frames, I should add more of those around the house I think, Im a real sucker for pretty quotes x
Can't wait to see the whole thing! Everything looks really cute so far:)
