Summer Jewelry Finds + Favorite Shoes

Hope you're having a great Monday so far! I'm off teaching The Bloom Workshop today, which is such a joy for me. I can't wait to share about the workshop. You can follow along on Instagram if you'd like :)

Today I'm sharing some of my favorite accessories-- necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and a couple bags-- from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. After today, you won't hear much more about the sale from me (though I'm heading to California on Thursday and might pop in the store to try on a few pieces. If I find some I love, I might share next week!) Hopefully these posts are helpful for you. With thousands of items in the sale, my hope is that I'm weeding through the items and only sharing what I love with you. There's something really exciting going on today, so head to the bottom of the post to find out!

SHOP:

*THIS necklace is almost just like one I have from years ago that I get asked a lot about anytime I wear it. It's so simple and classic. Goes with everything! You'll notice a couple Kendra Scott pieces, which are my favorite jewelry items ever. They're so classy and I just love them!!

I rounded up my favorite pairs of booties from the sale HERE. These are my favorite sandals, sneakers, flats and boots.

Alright-- here's the exciting announcement: I'm giving away a $200 Nordstrom gift card on Instagram today! It goes live at 10am EST, so click here to enter

Spring Wardrobe Favorites

It finally feels like Spring around here! Although I know as soon as I take my snow tires off, it'll inevitably snow one more time ;) Yesterday was 60 degrees and it was GLORIOUS. It got me inspired to round up some of my spring favorites for you! I'm all about feminine details like ruffles, florals, bows / ties, and lace trim, but I also think the overall trend is SO cute-- especially paired with basic tees for an every day look, or dressed up with a white ruffle blouse and wedges.
DETAILS | ruffle back top / overalls / converse / booties / floral shirt / wedge sandal white blouse / gingham dress / floral jumpsuit / earrings / pink blouse w/ flowers / green jumpsuit / lace sleeve tee / sandal

I'm completely obsessed with that ruffle back t-shirt. It comes in a couple colors, but I'm diggin' the army green right now! Anything with florals on it pretty much has my heart, so this blouse is on my wishlist. This pair of block heel wedge / booties have had my attention for a few months but it's been snowing up until a couple weeks ago, so now that it makes sense to actually wear them soon maybe I'll grab them. They are SO cute and versatile! I love that the heel isn't too high.

Spring also means it's time to pull out my denim jacket. I wear it so often because it's easy to throw on, looks great with tons of outfits and in Michigan, you really do need a jacket because you never know what the weather might do ;) Here are some of my favorites:

What are some of your Spring must-haves?! Happy Friday!

Friday Finds: Booties, Boots and Flats for Fall

I'm sure glad it's Friday, because I need some rest this weekend! The weather has been insanely beautiful this week, which I'm so thankful for! However, while in the middle of writing this post, our power went out (no idea why-- it's 70 and sunny!) so I am now writing from the Starbucks down the street. Not complaining about that ;)

Since getting two new pairs of booties for fall this year, I've been obsessed and noticing booties, boots and other cute shoes for fall everywhere I go. I thought I'd round up some of my favorites for you incase you're in the market for some new kicks.

4: Love the chestnut color of these!

7: I also have these tall boots and they're my second most comfortable pair of boots. I have last year's in the non-suede, but my mom has the suede. They're really pretty! (ps. this picture makes me cold looking at it...no snow!!!)

This gingham top is calling my name.

Friday Finds: Summer Shoes & Shirts

I'm so happy to be in California for a few weeks, visiting my family before my brother's wedding! Yes, we're both getting married within a few months of each other ;) The weather is just beautiful here, which left me thinking about summer shoes, tanks and tees. That's what this week's Friday Finds are compiled of below:

I went to Nordstrom the other day and couldn't help but linger in the shoe department! I just want all the summer sandals! ;)

Hope you enjoy your weekend!

Favorite Spring Shoes

Get the looks:

First of all, thank you SO much for your excited words about our wedding venue. If you missed it, I gave you the tour yesterday

Spring is officially here (I think!) and it has me wanting to buy a few new pairs of shoes for the new season. A few weeks ago when I was home visiting my parents in California, I did pick up two new pairs, perfect for wedding occasions and our honeymoon!

These Jessica Simpson sandals are so comfortable, sparkly and beachy (perfect for our Hawaii honeymoon!) and under $70. My absolute favorite heels I've ever owned are these new Hinge shoes. With a chunky wood heel and a cool lace up look, they're also comfortable and go with basically everything! Bonus: they're under $100.  I can't wait to wear both pairs all spring and summer.

For the warmer months I think the essential shoes are a few sandals, closed-toe flats, and a few heels / wedges. Options, people!

What's your favorite shoe for spring?

Fall Essentials: Shoes

SHOP:

This is my second post in the Fall Essentials series! If you missed the last one, you can check out lots of my favorite fall decor here. One of my favorite things about fall is, of course, the boot weather that comes with it. In fall it's fun to get out your boots and plan cozy outfits. (I wish I could say the same about winter in Michigan, but really, it's not that fun after the first week or so ;))

The 3 types of shoes are essential for fall is a pair of flats, booties and tall boots. You can mix and match so many outfits with those choices! These gray boots are so awesome, they might just make my birthday wish list! I also love the light colored, quilted booties-- I could see myself wearing them with cuffed jeans and a casual sweater.

What boots are you excited to pull out this year?

Summer Essentials: Shoes

Summer is all about being light, airy, on-the-go, and open-toed. I love sandal weather, so today I've rounded up my faves. I have a pair of Rainbows which are great for throwing on for the beach, Sam Edelman flat sandals for around town, and a similar pair of wedges for date nights, church or fancier outings.

These "save" version of the gem sandals above are from Target and I adore them! See?! And I think they're half the cost of the ones I included above.

I'm really into booties and casual flats this season, too! Those leopard flats up above?! GET IN MY CLOSET. But really, at such a great price I might have to make the purchase :)

Fashion: Go-To Casual + Bow Sandals

DETAILS | Top / Jeans (similar) / Necklace / Bow Sandals / Bag (similar-- sale! / similar)

Last weekend my mom and I headed to the Dry Bar to get our hair done. It was so fun! I know what you're thinking-- it looks the same as when I usually curl it! And, you would be right ;) BUT it's so fun to sit there and relax, not having to do it yourself. When you have a thick head of hair like me, it's a dream come true for someone else to blow it dry and style it. What fun!

I picked up these bow sandals the other week when they were on sale at Macy's. What a good find! They are comfortable, cute, and incorporate my favorite color-- gold, of course!

This type of look has been my uniform as of lately. Casual jeans, cute sandals, and a casual but together top with a statement necklace. It's easy to throw on and mix and match other pieces in with.

In other news, Bloom Workshop is open for registration today! Let us know if you have any questions. We hope to see you there!

Happy Tuesday!

Spring is definitely in the air and I'm loving all the cute sandals, wedges and flats on the market. I haven't bought a new pair of shoes for this season yet, but have my eye on a few of the above. Have you made any Spring-time shoe additions this year?

Fashion: My Easter Outfit

DETAILS | Dress: Apricot Lane Los Altos / Wedges: Toms / Necklace: BaubleBar / Jean Jacket: Nordstrom / Bracelet: Tiffany & Co. (from my boyfriend!) / Bag: Tory Burch (similar) / Sunglasses: Coach

I figured Easter was the perfect day to wear my Shabby Chic Toms (fabric from one of my favorite designers, Rachel Ashwell)! Floral Toms wedges? Sign me up :) I bought these last year on a whim, because like I said, Rachel Ashwell is a fave designer of mine, and haven't worn them a ton, because they require a certain outfit, but whenever I do wear them I get so many sweet compliments. Easter seemed like a highly appropriate occasion to dawn these pretties. With both blue and pink flowers on them, I think another perfect place to wear them would be a gender reveal party. Yep, my mind just jumped from Easter to that.

What did you do on Easter? Our family went to church, stopped by Starbucks on the way home, then headed to my grandparent's house for a yummy family dinner. Especially now that I'm moving to Michigan in a week (cue crying and nervous excitement), I'm so appreciative of all the family gatherings we have. Such a special thing to have had my family close by me while growing up. As a side note, I'm pretty sure my grandma and mom thought my dress was too short, but I assure you I sat very lady-like at the dinner table and never bent over to pick anything up :)

Hope you have a wonderful Monday!

Fashion: Neon Shorts + Simple Sandals

DETAILS | Shirt (similar) / Shorts (come in all different colors!) / Leopard Belt / Black Fibi & Clo Sandals / Bracelets: Margaret Elizabeth and Kate Spade

Well, in the last nine days here in Northern California, it's gone from torrential down pours to 85-90 degree weather! Last week I was in rain boots and this week I'm in neon shorts and sandals. I'm certainly not complaining! As I've mentioned before, shorts are my last choice to wear, but when it's so hot, the only shorts I turn to are my J.Crew 3" Chino shorts. They're not too short {which is my pet peeve, by the way! Here's my PSA to all high school girls that think super short shorts are cute and make your bootie look good: they really do you no favors. Promise!} I also love the vibrant colors available in these shorts. I have this neon pink/coral, lavender, berry and navy. I think I'm all set!

Also, have you found Fibi & Clo yet?! If not, allow me to introduce you to the world's prettiest shoes and sandals. I already have a pair of their Cascade sandals, so when they sent me these darling, simple flip flops, I was thrilled! They go with just about everything, are easy to throw on, but still look totally stylish. I love how I could easily wear them to the beach, or to a lunch date. That's my kind of sandal!

How you found a great new pair of sandals for Summer?
Happy Thursday!

Gift Guide: For Your Wardrobe

DETAILS | ClothesBlack and White Dot Sweater / Pink V-Neck TopOmbre Chambray / Fur VestGray Sweater Dress / Black Sequin Mini Skirt /  Gray and Navy Shift Dress / Aztec Skirt / Black and White Sweater / Cords / Jeans
ShoesBlack Boots / Brown Booties / Leopard Flats / Black Flats / Pink & Gold Flats
Bags/Wallets: Brown Satchel / Brown Tote / Black and White Satchel / Pink Wallet / Striped Weekend Bag

When it comes to clothing, shoes and handbags, I tend to go for classic, effortless and practical. That's why, for Christmas, I'll be asking for a few of the above favorites. Namely, a new pair of blue jeans {I think my jeans are shrinking...cough cough...} and that pair of brown booties. I'm such a dress-lover, so few warmer dresses are always fun for the season, too! I'm a big believer in buying less pieces of clothing that are of good quality, so you can mix and match great pieces and really be sure they last for a long time. Investing in a few good pairs of jeans and sweaters is my best advice! Then you can buy cheaper tops, accessories and fun, trendy items to sprinkle in some color and pattern for the seasons.

What clothing is on your Christmas list?!
