Welcome to the second day of our Christmas Cheer Link Parties! Today is all about the mantle. Be sure to take pictures of your mantle and link it up with my girl Michelle at Ten June.

Our mantle {which by the way, I'm unsure of the correct spelling!! ;)} and fireplace area is one of my favorite things about our home. The pretty aged brick brings character, charm, warmth, and all that good stuff :) I always love decorating the mantle for Christmastime. Last year we strung pinecones under the mantle's ledge, but this year we found these adorable pom pom garlands at West Elm and knew they needed to come home with us. I think the felt garlands are so festive and whimsical-- perfect for our natural, white and neutral elegance theme.
We filled our fireplace with an assortment of candles, since sadly we can't light our fireplace. The stockings are hung with care and fresh greenery is placed on the top of the mantel for a hint of that Christmassy aroma and for added greenery, of course. A beautiful red poinsettia sits in the turquoise vase on the fireplace, but do not be fooled. That gets moved every time we leave the house, as a certain white puppy might get her paws on it {and poinsettia's are extremely dangerous for dogs!}
How'd you decorate your mantle this year?! I would love to see what you've done, so please link up your posts at Ten June and join the part-ay!
Have a lovely Tuesday & Happy Christmas Decorating!
Love,
very pretty Michaela :)
ReplyDeleteLooks very pretty. I like the stockings off center {and with both called it our merry mantel!}
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Michaela! I don't have a mantle in my apartment, but at my parents house I'm in charge of the fireplace section. We use lots of garland, lights and bulbs!

So simple and beautiful! I, also, get confused with the spelling of mantle, or mantel?! Google didn't help either!
