See You Later, California!

May 1st. I've been talking about May 1st since December.

I'd say, "I'm moving to Michigan on May 1st." And people would say, "You still have a few months/weeks to soak up California until then!"

It's here and it's so surreal. Today is the day I'm moving to Michigan to live down the street from my handsome boyfriend. My dad is flying out with me to move me in this weekend and I'm so glad he's able to come help me. In just a few weeks, my mom and Grandma will hopefully fly out to visit me. I think this timing will be perfect, as I think I'll be a little homesick by then and need to see my mama:) Before I know it, the Bloom Workshop will be here! There are so many exciting things happening this Summer and I can't wait to share them with you.

Today, though, my heart is a little sad to be leaving my home state, family and pup, my house, car, and everything that is familiar to me. All my clothes and decor are packed and shipped, my goodbyes have been said to the ones I love, and my trust is all in God. He's the only one who could write a love story like this, so I'm following Him to Michigan. Prayers are appreciated during this new season of life! I'll be a little slow at responding to comments and emails this next week, but will be checking everything periodically. Thanks for all your encouragement and support, friends.

Off we go to the Midwest. See you later, California! {Because I do hope to return permanently one day soon.}
Happy Thursday to you!
xoxo

  3. Such an exciting new chapter. God's love stories are so much better than what we could ever dream up. My parents met my now husband on a riverboat cruise in China. Seriously!? He lived in Connecticut, and I was born and raised in California. God moved mountains in both of our hearts and lives. After a few months of long distance dating, we were married in Cabo with 50 of our family and friends. I then sold my condo, moved to Connecticut, and haven't looked back. Almost 6 years later we now have 3 kids 3 and under. There was something so special about beginning a life together away from my family. Don't get me wrong, it was painful, and I missed them dearly. My mom and I even taught at the same elementary school, but figuring it out just "us"....was a perfect beginning to what God had planned. It was so nice to find a church that was ours, friends, etc. Thankfully, modern technology helps keep the relationships with far away loved ones much easier. Good luck, Michaela. I can't wait to hear what comes next!
