If I've ever worked with a "dream" client, it's Kate. This nursery design marks the third room I've helped her transform and it's nothing short of a complete joy to do for her. Kate lives in Australia, so that has presented some shopping/sourcing challenges! After doing three rooms for her, though, I'm now very familiar with some great sites Australia has to offer. Her American shipping address comes in handy, too!
After finding out she was pregnant, Kate emailed me with the exciting news and we got started right away. We're going for something neutral, sophisticated, with a dash of playful. They don't know the gender quite yet (but are finding out soon!) so this is just the basic plan. We will embellish with more gender specific accessories, art and bedding once she finds out if it's a little man or sweet little girl!
For now, we need your help! Kate and I love both the above designs, but she can't decide on a few things so I told her I'll have my readers help her out :) Here are the questions:
1. Which rug?
2. Which dresser / mirror?
Comment with your favorite and help a sista out!
Have a great day!
I would go with the second option! JMHO though...
ReplyDeleteI love parts of the second one, too!
DeleteI like rug #1 since chevron is super trendy they might end up sick of it quickly. But I love the dresser/mirror combo from #2. I'm not speaking from experience but I would think drawers would be easier to store baby things in.
ReplyDeleteI agree, that's my fave rug too I think!
DeleteAgree completely!
DeleteThanks for your opinion, Beth! :)
DeleteI like the chevron rug, but I'm on the "chevron foreva" boat, a lot of people find it too trendy. I really love the gray washed dresser, too. So much texture and personality! Great designs, friend : )
ReplyDeleteI like everything about the first one!! I love chevron, but so many people are using it these days, and I love that the first rug is still modern but different!
ReplyDeletei love the second one. i am not a chevron fan but i think it looks very nice. and the mirror in the second one makes me really happy.
ReplyDeleteI love design #2, I like the clean lines of the dresser and the interest from the chevron rug. I also think that the rustic mirror complements the clean lines of the space, cant wait to see it with more gender specific touches.

I like design #2- but I think it would be good with either dresser!

I love option 2!
ReplyDeleteI like rug #1 (more timeless) and dresser #2 (especially paired with that mirror).
ReplyDeleteim voting for the 1st choice!
ReplyDeleteLove the first set :)
ReplyDelete1# is a girl and 2# is a boy with a swap of dressers maybe, wd leave the mirrors where they are ;)
ReplyDeleteRug and dresser from #2 and mirror from #1
ReplyDeleteI love the chevron rug, dresser and mirror from #2 - great scheme!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely #2 love the rug and mirror!
ReplyDeleteI like option #2 dresser & mirror with the rug from option #1
ReplyDeleteOption 2 and stick with the chevron rug. It's so lovely.
ReplyDeleteooh it's gonna look awesome!

design #2! i LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteI vote for #2!! Love that! You are so talented!
ReplyDeleteCan you mix them? :) #1 dresser cause the rustic wood is gorgeous and chevron rug cause it's more young and busy! All of it is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYes totally! That's what I wanted people to be able to do- mix them :) I'm with you...I love the dresser in #1 and think it pairs great with the chevron rug! I just put everything in different boards so you could see all the choices :) Thanks for your comment!
DeleteLove both of them, but definitely prefer #2 because of the chevron rug! :)
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for #2! Love the chevron rug and I'm loving the white dresser!
ReplyDeleteRug #1 definitely. The chevron is cute, but I think it is more trendy and will show it's age much more quickly. While chevron is still big with the general public I think it's on its way out before too long. Both dresser/mirror combos are great, but I think I'd go with #2 there. Good job!
