....along with everyone else! You know what I'm talking about: Anthropologie! This past weekend when Alyssa and I went down town, I couldn't help but go in my favorite place ever. Aside from trying on bridesmaid dresses for Alyssa's wedding next summer, we also took a look at their dishes that were on sale:
I may be back soon {and not exercise my self-control} to buy a few bowls like these. Dontcha think pretty bowls and plates would be perfect to house my jewelry on my new dresser??
Such a cute monogrammed mug:
Another reason I love going in Anthro is because they have so many unique ideas for the home. This is my new favorite idea for a kitchen:
Stenciling your favorite recipe on the wall!
Loving the chandeliers:
This gallery wall going up the winding staircase is a collection of architectural images:
I bet someone could DIY this same lampshade for way cheaper!
Always looking for cute letters:
Ahh, Anthro. You never fail us.
What have your favorite finds been lately? Anyone brave enough to stencil a recipe on their kitchen wall? I could see it as a backsplash or just a feature wall, too!
Love,

This stuff is amazing. I wish Anthro wasn't so expensive! :(
ReplyDeleteit's SOOO dangerous for me to step foot in Anthro because I immediately want to spend my life savings :)
ReplyDeleteWow! How do they do it? Such talented visual merchandisers! I'm not evening a DIYer but that lamp makes me want to try :)
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love Anthro! I'm jealous, yours is two stories??? Love the recipe stencil on the wall. I've seen a few in blogland (Miss Savannah has one in the back of a niche in her kitchen).
ReplyDeleteSuch cool shots of anthro - their decor is hands down the best!
ReplyDeleteThe stencil wall is my fave!

Love Anthro! They have the cutest things for home!
ReplyDeleteAnthro rocks, I need some new bowls and those are just too purty!!!
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine is Italian, I went over to her grandma's house one day and had amazing spaghetti. I asked for the recipe and she told me it was a secret. She had a recipe stenciled on the wall in her kitchen and I asked her about it. She said it was a fake one... When we left my friend told me the stenciling is the family recipe I asked about but nobody ever puts it together. :) I love the idea too!
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh - the lampshade with the grey background & bright flowers is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThose bowls are too cute! I love Anthro, but their prices just make me cringe.
ReplyDeleteWhy does anthro have to be so pretty???
ReplyDeleteI need to get myself to Anthropologie, stat!
ReplyDeleteI would be brave enough to stencil a recipe on a canvas to place on my kitchen wall! Does that count?
ReplyDeleteI love Anthro - but sometimes loathe their prices. Which is why I'm loving that you featured the sale dish items. So my style!
Hi Michaela I am also a huge fan of Anthropologie! So you moving to LA? What major you will be taking at FIDM?
ReplyDeleteHugs & kisses from Rio!

OMG that lamp shade is ADORABLE!!! So many fun and whimsical things to stare at!
ReplyDeleteI was in there the other day with my mom...pretty sure I wanted just about everything. BUT I LOVED THE LETTERS. I am going to be doing my little girls nursery soon and I think the letters may just HAVE to be incorporated!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of picking up some cute bowls from Anthro (or something like it from a thrift store possibly) to house the baby pacifier's in, in her lovely drawers! I'll have to see what I can come up with.
ReplyDeleteWhat I love the most is the tea cup lamp - absolutely adorable! :)
Looking forward to an Anthro trip this weekend, can't wait! I think I'm going to get some plates for a wall mural. Hope dishes are still on sale!
ReplyDeleteW.
Oh anthropology goodness!! It's all gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteEverything is Always amazing there! They never get it wrong!
ReplyDeleteAnthro is such a great place for inspiration! I love the base of that lamp made out of saucers and mugs... so cool. Your dresser could really use some of those pretty bowls to hold jewelry... not that I'm encouraging you to give up some self-control, but I think those bowls are preeeetty. (:
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love Antrho..I've never once bought anything from there (shocking I know) I usually come out so overwhelmed and giddy that I can't settle on one thing hah!
ReplyDeleteAnd I saw a diy for that lamp a while back...I can't seem to remember where it was though.
Oh yes, Anthro is divine.

Love that stenciled recipe wall - I'm thinking of doing that on some fabric for my kitchen!
ReplyDeleteBlast you Anthro! Why do you have to be so fabulous??? I have a serious problem every time I step foot in their doors...like I can't ever seem to leave and completely fixate on half the stuff I looked at. It's a problem. (c;
ReplyDeleteLove all of your highlights! How fab are those bowls in the second picture. I eyed them for a while, then decided to get a couple for display and they were all gone!
ReplyDeleteLove Anthro! I want one of their monogrammed mugs to use on my desk! And that teacup lamp is fab!
