Sunburn in Seattle

stunning wispy clouds....does it get any better than this?

Yesterday was a rare day for the PNW!  The clouds cleared and my-oh-my was it ever SUNNY and warm- 75 degrees to be exact! Seattle literally lights up when the sun comes out, and I feel like our city doubles in population.  Everyone comes outside and is either running, walking, going to one of the beaches, at Pike Place Market, or U-Village {one of the cutest outdoor malls}.  My good friend and I ventured over to Alki Beach in West Seattle. It was my first time there, and with every step I took, I kept repeating "This is so gorgeous!"  This weather is so refreshing! Even if I did get my first blister ever...due to walking 2 miles in flip flops for the first time since September.
Can we just talk about this sky for a second? Blue. Clear. Light Breeze. Small, Beautiful Clouds {as opposed to the thick gray ones we're accustomed to}.  I could get used to this!

I'm so thankful I started feeling better on Saturday, after being under the weather for 2 days with some terrible late spring flu.  Impeccable timing to get better and go for a stroll outside.  These sunny days are the days I live for up here! Memories were made and sunburns were had. And that, my friends, is a definite first for me here in Seattle. A sunburn...who knew?! ;)

What'd you do this weekend? Hope you have a wonderful start to your week!
Love,

  4. We've just been trying to get all settled into the new place! We had beautiful weather here in Vancouver as well... and looks like today will be just as lovely! Halle and I plan to get out for a walk!

We're hoping to head to WA this coming weekend... not sure if we'll go right into Seattle, or just drive to the outlets in Bellingham... we have to decide! Regardless, hopefully the weather will be just as nice for our visit :)

  11. Seattle is amazing! My brother and sister-in-law have lived there for about 7 years now! Alki is the best, beaches in Seattle? who knew! Check out Slices on Alki, pizza place, owned by a friend and they make everything fresh and grow their own veggies!

  16. Sunny days are the best when they are not typical. I live in New England and it is just now starting to warm up. Every time the sun is out, I'm anxious to get out and soak it up. Glad to hear you are feeling better!

  18. I feel your stuck-inside pain. I had a ton of work to do yesterday. I tried to do it outside, but the glare on my computer screen finally forced me back indoors. boooo. Here's to next weekend.
