I'll be sure to post lots of goodies on instagram for you to follow along {michaelanoelle}. Ashley took this picture of me in Tahoe over the 4th of July, and I just love the way she uses sunshine in her photos. Makes me wish it'd stay this sunny and warm all year round.

Hello all!  Im Amanda from Amanda Carol at Home.  Im so excited that Michaela asked me to participate in her She Love Me, She Loves me not series.

She Loves Me:
Starbucks- need I say more?  Im not a coffee drinker, but I have to have my daily Grande Awake Tea Latte with soy and classic syrup.

Anything Gold or Gilded. I have been on many occasions to break out the gold spray paint to get the Midas Touch.

Fabulous Fabric-  I am a fabric snob and think that any space can be instantly glamed up with good quality fabrics.

She Loves me not:

Walmart and all the crazies that shop there.  I will shop Target any day of the week, but refuse to step into a Walmart. And the times I have had to shop Walmart I most certainly lose my religion that day.

Thank you Michaela for having me here today!

Thank you for sharing! I don't know anyone who doesn't love Starbucks.  And to be honest with you all, I have only been to Walmart one time in my whole life and it was in Louisiana last summer when I visited Megan. She made me go in as a joke :)

Orange Punch + New Purchase

Sometimes a punch of color is all you need to kick start your Monday morning. Or some color + a cup of coffee (or tea, in my case...) I think this Atlanta Home Tour, first seen on House Beautiful, does the trick. Now, with that said, this home tour isn't necessarily my personal style, but I do adore certain aspects of it.
1. Orange pillows and curtains
2. Exaggerated drum shades over the dining room table
3. Tiered ceilings in the master bedroom
4. Symmetry in the guest bedroom
5. Texture in the light fixtures and in that amazing abstract art.
6. Curtains hung high and dramatic!

It's always fun to look at homes you wouldn't live in yourself, but learn to appreciate all design and in turn, pick out elements you do love from other styles. What's your favorite element in this home?

In other news, we are in the process of updating a few things in our kitchen/family room, and yesterday we purchased a new dining table and chairs. We also got this beauty from Pottery Barn. It's on sale for $99!! I can't wait for it to come in the mail.
Hope you had a lovely weekend! What did you do?
Enjoy your Monday:)

PS. I'm really excited about my post for Thursday on dorm rooms and all the fun things that come along with it! Email me if you'd like specific things addressed...I've got some great bloggers who have lots of dorm/small space living experience:)

Hello, pretty ladies! My names Allyssa, and I'm just a 24 year old California girl who is totally obsessed with all things girlie. Over at Clothed with Strength and Dignity I talk about my faith, beauty, fashion, design, and everything in between. I have to say, I'm also quite the pro (well, at least I'd like to think I am) at finding awesome things at thrift stores. As a matter of fact, I'm in the process of working on a post where I'm going to share all the amazing stuff I've recently thrifted, which includes a Juicy Couture blazer-I know, crazy right? I died when I found it! Okay, maybe I didn't really die, but you get the picture! And can I just mention that I should be way better at this whole describing myself thing? Gee, you would think I would be great at talking about myself since I'm a blogger and all. Feel free to stop by and introduce yourself! I can never have too many friends!

Navy & Pink Nursery

Today I'm thrilled and honored to be sharing a nursery design I did for one of my best friends. Megan {of Mackey Madness} is having a sweet baby girl, and I could not be more happy for her and her husband. I visited Megan last summer and she showed me true Southern Hospitality down in Louisiana.  When she found out she was having a little girl just last week, we both started talking about room ideas immediately. After discussing her design style and wishes for the room, I came up with a simple, classic and oh-so-darling
navy and pink nursery:

A few of my favorites pieces to note:
1. Land of Nod bed sheet and matching curtains
2. Pottery Barn crib skirt
3. Made By Girl LOVE print
4. Ikea Hemnes Dresser + some cute Anthropologie knobs
5. Land of Nod bookshelf & storage bins
6. Ikea Chandelier

What's your favorite piece in the room? And if you're a mama, any advice on the best baby gear for Megan would be appreciated, I'm sure :)

**If you're looking to redesign a room in your home, I would love to help! Check out my e-design page for more info, or email me for packages and pricing: michaelawarner90@gmail.com**

Happy Friday!

In This Moment

This pretty and delicate bunch of Lisianthus sit on my new nightstand.
My white pup is sleeping beneath my feet, calm as can be.
Beautiful artwork is hanging above my desk; my little room is overflowing with fresh color.
E-design work is coming out the wazzoo...so many fun projects to show off soon!
So You Think You Can Dance sends chills up my arms as I watch these amazing dancers dance their tails off. {This show is causing me to think maybe I should have stuck with ballet...}
Details and projects are coming together for a styled shoot, quickly approaching in just two weeks.
Baby brother is off at school in Texas...I think I miss him:)
My heart is full; God's love and faithfulness astounds me. It's hard to wrap my mind around the fact that I do not deserve the grace He pours out each day, and yet it continues to flow. I find myself enamored with beauty all over, and know that this beauty-- true, lovely, and raw-- is only something God creates.
In this moment, I am hopeful for the future. My business, my life, my love, my friends & family, my journey.  Nervous-excited-scared...but totally hopeful.

Where are you at right now?
Enjoy your day, friends!
Love,
Photobucket
PS. If you want something a little more upbeat, check out my guest post over at Hi Sugarplum! I'm dishin' on boys. Really, really attractive ones. And one not-so-attractive one. Intrigued? Head over here :)

She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not: Hodge Podge

Hi friends! Wednesday seems to come so quickly each week! I'm excited to introduce you to a talented designer and blogger, Barbara from Hodge Podge
Barbara is crafty and creative- just take a peek at her DIY project gallery for proof of that.  Beyond her stylish living, I just adore her passion and spirited approach to design. She's from Canada, which means she spells certain words all fancy...I secretly love that:) You're sure to enjoy her loves and love-me-nots!
***

Hello from Canada eh! So thrilled to be asked to be part of Michaela's She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not series. It was thoroughly enjoyable to try to come up with some loves and loves-me-nots.

She Loves Me
1. Coffee.
My kids say I have a bit of an addiction to the stuff. I just love the taste and the comfort it brings, and has helped bring many a project from the brink of disaster!

2. The colour red.
I heart red. Ever since I got my first box of pencil crayons with a gorgeous "poppy red", I have been smitten. I don't like red in large doses but in small bits here and there to give a space that extra zing!

3. Unfitted kitchens.
I am drawn to unfitted kitchens, with open shelving, darker lower cabinets along with lighter uppers, touches of wood and a bit of an industrial edge. Ones that look like that have been curated over time,  but elegant and scream "cook and eat here."

4. Maxi Dresses
I adore maxi dresses. Maybe it is a bit of nostalgia from my childhood when my mom wore long dresses that were so "in" in the 70's. But for someone like me, who has never liked my legs, a maxi dress is perfection! I have a few in my closet and am looking to add a few more. Hopefully this trendy dress will stay in style for a while!

She Loves Me Not
1. Misspelled Words.
I can't stand poor spelling, especially on business signs, etc. If you are going to advertise to the public, then get the spelling right.
Thanks again for having me! Hope I spelled everything correctly :)

***
Thanks, Barbara! I'm also loving kitchens with varied colors in cabinetry and open shelving. Misspelled words always bug me, too! -- Especially if I find them on my blog from a past post. This is me giving readers permission to let me know if something is spelled wrong :)

Go say hello over at Hodge Podge today!  What are YOU loving this week?
Happy Wednesday!
Love,
