Friday Finds: 20% off Jeans + More Spring Faves

This Friday is a crazy one. You see, today I'm moving out of my apartment that I've lived in for two years here in Michigan. Who knew you could acquire so much stuff in just two years?! I've been throwing out junk, organizing, and packing for almost 3 weeks now. I can't wait to move into my new apartment in a few weeks, but for now I'm living with my future mother-in-law (the new lease didn't quite line up, so that's why there's a bit of a gap in the timing!) The move couldn't have come at a worse time, as I leave on Sunday for Bloom Bash Florida, but it all got done nonetheless.

Anyways, on to our Friday Finds!

1. Anthropologie: 25% additional off sale + 20% off full price jeans. A good pair of jeans is the best investment, in my opinion. I've had a few pairs of jeans since my first year of college and they're still going strong! Here are my favorite styles:

Don't forget to check out tops under $50 on the sale rack, because you also get the additional 25% off!

2. LOFT: 40% off on spring arrivals! This is one of my very favorite places to shop. Cute, simple and affordable! I love all their basic tees and tanks. I also just bought this black romper (in a XS petite) and I ADORE it!

That's all for this week :) Happy Weekend!

Favorite Mother's Day Cards

one / two / three / four / five / six / seven / eight / nine

I'm a huge gift lover-- whether giving or receiving, I absolutely LOVE picking out cards and gifts. Are you familiar with the 5 Love Languages? If so, you'll realize mine is "gifts" ;) My mom always loved me really well in this area. When I was younger and would go to camp, she would pack my bag full of notes, cards and little gifts I got to open throughout my week away (I hated camp! ha!) My first year of college, she had all my friends and family write me a card and wrap a small gift for me to open each day for the first few MONTHS of school. It was such a blessing!

Because of this, I always have the best time picking out Mother's Day cards (and the actual present, too!) I rounded up a few of the prettiest cards I could find. Chalkboard backgrounds, lots of florals, rose gold calligraphy-- there's something for everyone. Most of these cards I think are beautiful enough to frame! Don't forget to check my Mother's Day Gift Ideas right here.

Have a wonderful Thursday!

Wedding Bliss: Bridal Hair Ideas

SOURCESblonde bun / half up twist / brunette curls chignon / flower / blonde chignon / down with veil / braid bun / braid crown / loose half up / twisted half up

Putting together my wedding day look is one of my favorite things to day dream about! It always ends with me smiling and thinking "holy cow! This is really happening!" :)

Because of the dress I chose (my mom and I had the best day saying yes to the dress back in December!) I will have my hair up for the ceremony. This isn't my favorite way to wear my hair, but I know it will look best with my dress. After the ceremony, I will have my hair transitioned into a half-down twisted / braided look. I'm really excited about having pictures both ways! Above are some of my inspiration pictures for my looks. The top biggest image (with blonde hair and the low bun) is probably what I will end up copying, more or less. It's just so simple, pulled together and elegant!

How did you wear your hair for your big day?

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

DETAILSrobe / tote / necklace / tray / heart necklace / scarf (under $40) / water bottle / trinket tray / monogram compact

Mother's Day is coming up (May 8th!) so it's time to start thinking about something sweet to gift our mamas. I picked out what I'll be giving my mom (but I can't say, because she reads my blog!) so I rounded up a few favorite gift ideas. Jewelry and watches, PJs, candles, framed pictures, a pretty shirt, or a beautiful bouquet of flowers are also great choices, in addition to the things above.

I love what Farmgirl Flowers are all about! Send your mom a giant bouquet of peonies!!

Or get your mom a sweet, curated gift box. I love Box + Bow's Mother's Day Box!

What's the best gift you've ever given your mom?

Favorite Spring Shoes

Get the looks:

First of all, thank you SO much for your excited words about our wedding venue. If you missed it, I gave you the tour yesterday

Spring is officially here (I think!) and it has me wanting to buy a few new pairs of shoes for the new season. A few weeks ago when I was home visiting my parents in California, I did pick up two new pairs, perfect for wedding occasions and our honeymoon!

These Jessica Simpson sandals are so comfortable, sparkly and beachy (perfect for our Hawaii honeymoon!) and under $70. My absolute favorite heels I've ever owned are these new Hinge shoes. With a chunky wood heel and a cool lace up look, they're also comfortable and go with basically everything! Bonus: they're under $100.  I can't wait to wear both pairs all spring and summer.

For the warmer months I think the essential shoes are a few sandals, closed-toe flats, and a few heels / wedges. Options, people!

What's your favorite shoe for spring?

Wedding Bliss: Our Wedding Venue

I'm SO excited to show you our wedding venue today. My mom and I went to see Holman Ranch before we were even engaged, because we happened to be in the Carmel area and had head amazing things. (I also knew it was coming soon!) Seeing the most stunning venue ever on your first venue hunting excursion wasn't the best idea ;) I couldn't get the ranch out of my head, even after seeing some other venues. After exhaustive research, we decided to land on Holman Ranch for our September 2016 wedding. For many reasons, this was the perfect place to say "I do"!

First, it is obviously gorgeous and has the most amazing view of the Carmel Valley. Second, it makes it possible to have your entire wedding ceremony and reception all in one place. No traveling for guests was very important to us. Third, it fit our wedding style (eclectic, rustic and romantic) and has endless photo options. Fourth, it has guest rooms on the property if guests want to stay there. Lastly, we knew we were going to have our wedding in California (even though we live in Michigan) so we wanted to choose a location that was a beautiful vacation spot for those guests coming in from out of town. It checked all of our boxes!

Here are some pictures I took of Holman Ranch when we went to the venue back in December. Keep scrolling for professional photos by Danielle Poff, our wedding photographer!

Barn for dancing:

I thought it'd be fun to show you some of my wedding photographer's photos, Danielle Poff Photography, from past weddings at Holman Ranch. Her images are a million times better than mine, and it's so fun to see real weddings on the property!

Oh, that ceremony site. I can't even wait!

The gorgeous stone buildings...

Seating at the cocktail hour

Dinner takes place here in the rose patio. I can't wait to see how our vision comes together for this space!

Every inch of the property is insanely gorgeous, so there will be no shortage of perfect picture spots!

THE tree!

Back to the barn for the dancing and reception...

At night...

Lots of dancing on the inside!

Hurry up, September! We can hardly wait to spend our big day at Holman Ranch with our favorite people.

Where did you get married?

Home Tour: Eclectic Cape Cod

This Cape Cod home is so stunning. I could move in and be happy as a clam, as is! I love the eclectic, farmhouse touches mixed with beautiful and elegant touches.

Photos by David Land for House Beautiful

There's just so many things I love, how could I choose just a few?! I'll try ;) The shiplap in the guest room, the twin beds in the kids' room, the antique chest as a vanity, the chalkboard wall (duh!) and all the gorgeous lighting. It's bright, airy, and delicate without being too feminine. What's your favorite part of the home?

Have a beautiful start to your week!
