Relaxing Weekend + Favorite Sweet Tea

How was your Memorial Day Weekend? We had a great time relaxing, hanging out with friends and sitting by the pool. Thankfully it was great weather, which allowed for extra fun sitting out on our patio with a cool drink in hand. If you know me, you know I love tea! It brings up memories of sipping my grandma's delicious iced tea by her pool when we visit in the warm months. She makes it unsweet, then we sweeten it ourselves to our liking, which is nice because often sweet tea is insanely sweet (and leave you with a film of sugar on your teeth.) Finding a delicious sweet tea that's not TOO sweet made me really happy! Enter Milo's Cafe Style Tea.

Last week I headed to Walmart to grab a few jugs of Milo's. They have 4 flavors, but the sweet tea and green citrus tea stood out to me. Being that it was Memorial Day Weekend, I knew I could bring the tea to at least one of the gatherings we were attending over the weekend. (They were a hit!) My favorite was the sweet tea. It's organic and all natural, which makes me love it even more, because THAT is hard to come by! I should mention that because of they are all natural teas, they are located in the refrigerated juice and dairy section (took me a minute to find them!)

Many of you know I just moved into a new place a few weeks ago, so it's been a whirlwind of unpacking, decorating, and cleaning. This weekend was the first time we actually sat outside on our cute little patio to enjoy some treats, sips and good conversation. The patio is almost all decorated. I just want to add some pretty market lights to the ceiling and maybe a lounge chair. For now, my small table for 2, succulent and hydrangea plant are perfect! Here's a little sneak peek:

With summer here to stay, it's the perfect time to grab your friends and family, some good eats and a delicious drink everyone will love, for a BBQ, pool party of casual get together. Head to the store locator to see where you can pick up Milo's tea!

Happy Tuesday :) Hope you enjoy your week (hooray for a short week after a fun holiday weekend! PS. Tomorrow is June 1st-- what the WHAT?!)

Fashion: Lace Shorts

DETAILSwhite lace shorts (mine are XS) / Coral top /

My shoes are from last year, but here are some cute strappy ones that have a similar look:

Last week when we were in Texas, we took a trip to Magnolia Market (more about that here!) and this is what I wore. It was hot hot hot that day, so I'm thankful I had on something breezy and light. I'd been looking for lace shorts forever and finally I found them, at Target! They are stretchy at the top, so that's a plus ;)  Here are some other cute lace short option:

Anyone else have a pair yet? Hope you enjoy your day!

Our Trip to Magnolia Market

It was no question that I'd be joining the family to celebrate my brother's college graduation from Baylor in Waco, TX this year. I'll give you a second to guess why! ;) (Just kidding, I would have gone no matter if Magnolia Market was in town or not!) This was, however, extra reason to go! We went to the market on a Friday afternoon and because it was graduation, I was expecting a massive line around the block. To our surprise (and pleasure!) there was no line at all. We walked right in! I think this was because a commencement ceremony was in progress.

First we walked around the property. Did you know that Magnolia Market is WAY more than just one little market on the property? You (well, at least I) could spend an entire day here, especially once the bakery opens. Under the Silos is a covered eating area with a local ice cream truck. It was called Heritage Creamery and goodness, it was delicious! Straight ahead there's a massive lawn with lawn games and then beyond that are the black and white awnings with more seating underneath. All around the premise are these local food trucks, filled with amazing food! I got a grilled cheese at the grilled cheese bar and then a strawberry Arnold Palmer at the coffee / tea truck.

Of course the entire area is gorgeous and has pretty flowers. Joanna knows how it's done!

After we took pictures outside, my mom and I went in the market and subsequently got lost in time. I had a serious "moment" in there. I couldn't believe I was really there! Needless to say, #bestdayever.  The market was much bigger than I imagined. And although it was filled to the brim with people, the store wasn't cluttered at all! That's what I loved most. It didn't feel like an old antique shop stuffed with tons of well, stuff. It was thoughtfully designed and laid out. If there weren't so many people, I would have felt totally relaxed ;) All the items had their place and the store was separated into zones. There was a flower market zone with pretty fake flowers and plants, right next to that was the bath section with beautiful smelling soaps, a kitchen / entertaining area, wood signs, metal signs and chalkboard signs section, home accents (like vases and such) and an apparel zone.

Take a peek at some of the shots I was able to get!

This installation is on the wall right when you walk in.

Be ever blooming. I love that :)

Even with a store full of people, everything is well styled.

Here's the kitchen area with cookbooks and more!

A whole wall was dedicated to big metal letters.

Some apparel and their famous Magnolia Wreath.

This wall was so fun. Fake flowers taped with washi tape to the wall. So creative and whimsical!

Also, it said Bloom, so how could I not take a pic :)

Loved all their fun signs...

Chalkboard signs! I got the one with a basket attached to the fa right.

Back outside again! They are opening a garden shop really soon. I can't wait to see what will be in there!

The bakery, Flour, is almost done, too! It's on the same property, right across from the market. Isn't it charming?!

It was such a fun day at Magnolia! I only wish I could have met Chip and Jojo ;) Hopefully I'll make many more trips to there in the future, but for now, I can shop online.

Check out my Instagram today to see what I bought at Magnolia!

Have YOU been to the shop yet?!

Fashion: Memorial Day Outfits to Mix & Match

Memorial Day is coming up (hooray for a three day weekend!) Hopefully the weather stays nice here so we can enjoy a day at the beach. Memorial Day is always the perfect time to break out the shorts and tees-- something put together yet casual. I rounded up my favorite shorts (love all the printed and lace ones!) and shirts that you can easily mix and match with the shorts. Between these 9 shorts and 9 shirts, you could make a ton of cute outfits! ;)

SHORTSwhite eyelet / black and white / faded red / navy / coral lace / denim cuff / drawstring linen / cuff / pink lace

SHIRTSnavy stripe / white lace / gray floral / elephant tee / watercolor floral / pineapple tank / white eyelet swing (40% off) / sunday morning / yellow floral

That yellow floral tee? I think I need it ;) I have the bottom left white top and it's my go-to white tank-- it goes with everything! Almost all of the tees are under $35. I love a good deal! What are your plans for Memorial Day?

Happy Tuesday!
