She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not: Hanging with the Hewitts

Happy middle of the week to all of you! I'm so excited to share with you one of my favorite ladies in all of the blog world. Meet Caycee of Hanging with the Hewitts
If you've yet to stumble on her sweet blog, you're missing out! Caycee is one of the most genuine and kind women. And yes, I can truly tell this is how she is in real life, although we've only ever communicated online :) Her passion for her kiddos, stylish living and zest for life shine through on her blog and in her emails. I know you'll adore her as much as I already do. Here are Caycee's Loves and Love Me Nots...

***
Hi Michaela Noelle Readers!! I was so happy when sweet Michaela asked me to guest post on her blog. I mean, she is pretty much the cutest ever!

She Loves Me:

1. Movie date nights with my husband are my favorite ever! I get so excited thinking about the buttered popcorn, cherry coke, and some silent time with my man. It's just so nice to close the rest of the world out and lose yourself in a good movie.

2. Summer would not be summer without my Tory Burch Thora flip flops. They are hands down the the best flops around.

3. Lilly Pulitzer's new spring collection. I have never met a Lilly dress I didn't love! The colors are so bright and the patterns are so happy.

She Loves Me Not:
1. I hate being late! I would rather be the girl sitting in her car for 30 minutes than to show up late! It gives me anxiety, and I end up feeling frazzled the rest of the day or night.

2. Washing my hair. I just don't love washing, drying, and then having to fix my hair. So my dirty little secret is dry shampoo. I use it probably twice a week and can usually get by with only two washes. I hope y'all don't think I am gross now ;)

3. Victoria Secrets scandalous swimwear this season. I mean, I am all about showing what you got, but goodness gracious they are just showing it all.

Those Lilly dresses need to get in my closet ASAP ;) And I have to agree with her on the VS swimwear. I just can't handle the thought of my cheeks hanging out like that picture above! Ha ;)

Go say hello over at Hanging with the Hewitts!

What are YOU loving {and not loving} this week?

She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not: Life of the Party

Hi friends! I'm excited to bring back my She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not series. Maybe once a month or so, I'll bring back this series as a way to introduce you to other fun bloggers and share the love. Today we're meeting Sherry from Life of the Party
Sherry blogs about all this stylish, whether it be home decor, parties and entertaining, fashion and more, she's got style for days and is a true gem! I know you'll adore her as much as I do…
***

Hello lovely Michaela Noelle Designs readers. I'm so honored to be here guest posting on Michaela's fabulous blog today.
1. There is no better way than to start your day that with a beach walk. Living in Hawaii we sometimes take for granted the beauty that surrounds us each day. This is my reminder, right here!

2. I had  been on the search for a new perfume  when I came across the brand Tocca. It was near impossible to choose my favorite but I decided on Florence because it reminded me of jasmine or tuberose. It is the perfect light floral scent for spring and summer.
3. I have been crushing on the Gigi New York clutch forever. It adds chic sophistication to any ensemble.
1. I normally don't get in to all of the celebrity hype and for the most part I can completely ignore the ridiculousness that goes on but here is what I don't like...Miley Cyrus's tongue! If I see it one more time I might lose my mind. Stop the madness already, Miley!
2. We recently went to the ever so popular Lego Movie. I really liked the movie but I am definitely not liking that the song Everything is Awesome has been in my head since we watched it...two weeks ago. It's a catchy song with a good message but trust me, a little annoying all at the same.

3. Living on an island is not always paradise. Like when it comes time to do spring cleaning and finding that all of your favorite handbags and shoes are covered in mildew. Yes, it's gross but it's true, the elements are tough on a lot of things here.  There is very little we can do about it but take a walk on the beach and forget about it.
Thank you Michaela for sharing your space with me today and thank you Michaela readers for taking the time to say hello!

Did I mention Sherry lives in Hawaii?! Yep. I think I'll come for a visit ;) I, too, am totally over Miley. Yikes!  Go say hi over at Life of the Party for lots of inspiration and party goodness!

What are YOU loving this week?

She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not: vmac + cheese

It's Wednesday already {and October 2nd already! What?!} I'm so excited to have Victoria here from vmac + cheese, one of my favorite and daily reads.

Not only is Victoria extremely talented, design savvy and stylish, she's also one of the kindest bloggers around! I know you'll love her loves and love me nots.

1. Getting my apartment decorated -- Anyone who has moved into a new space that was essentially a blank canvas knows that decorating a home takes a lot of time, energy, and more time. I'm loving that our place is really starting to come together. It's finally feeling like a home!

2. Fall weather -- I adore this time of year. Who can argue with crisp afternoons, beautiful golden sunlight, and layering?

3. Where'd You Go Bernadette -- I just finished this book and it was one of the best I've read in a while. Honestly, when it ended, I was sad! I highly recommend it.

1. Imperial Trellis -- I dunno, I'm just over it.

2. Seeing and/or reading about Miley Cyrus -- Ditto to being over it. Like, REALLY over it.

3. My hair -- Good LORD I am in desperate need of a haircut!

Thanks for sharing, girl! I'm SO loving the fall weather, and her apartment is coming along so well! You have to check it out.   I'm with her on not caring about Miley as well. It was so disturbing to watch, can we please move on?!

Go say hello over at vmac + cheese today!

Happy middle of the week! What are YOU loving and not loving this Wednesday?

She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not: Attempts at Domestication

Today I'm excited to introduce you to one of the most fun and kind DIY and home bloggers around. Meet Ashley from Attempts at Domestication...
Ashley dishes on life as a newlywed, cooking, DIY projects and home decor. She's always so genuine and thoughtful; I just love her and the inspiration she brings to the blog world! I'm thrilled she's here sharing what she's loving (and not!) for this Wednesday's installation of She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not.

***
Hey there everybody! I'm Ashley and I blog at Attempts At Domestication, where I write about everything from home decor, DIY projects, recipes and life in general. I'm so excited to be guest posting here on Michaela's blog today and sharing about some things I love, and some that I'm not so into.

She Loves Me (1)
Fall Fashion - August is almost over which means fall is coming! I can't wait to take my boots and scarves out of storage, plus go shopping for a few new items. ;)
Paris - My husband and I are going on a European vacation in September and we'll be in Paris for half of it. I absolutely cannot wait to see the sites, especially the Eiffel Tower. I'm also excited to eat a ton of croissants, macaroons, and of course chocolate.
Pumpkin - Fall also means indulging in all things pumpkin! My favorites are pumpkin desserts and pumpkin spice lattes. I'm also looking forward to visiting a pumpkin patch and carving pumpkins with my husband for Halloween.
Glee - I've been obsessed with this show for a few years, so much so I'm rewatching it, again. I've always loved musicals and I like tv shows with drama, this is a combination of both and I love it! I'm excited for Season 5 this fall, even though it will all feel different without Cory Montieth.
Ultimate Frisbee - As the weather starts to cool down I want to spend as much time as I can outside. My friends have been playing Frisbee every weekend for a few weeks now and it's so fun! Not to mention a great form of exercise!

She Loves Me NotWaking Up - I'm not a morning person. Never have been and definitely never will be. I especially can't stand getting up early to do something not fun, like going to work.
Cleaning the Kitchen - My husband and I have a deal that whoever cooks dinner doesn't have to clean the kitchen. My husband does the vast majority of the cooking which means I'm always stuck on dish duty. At least he's an excellent chef. ;)
Rain - It has rained over 80% of the summer. Luckily there's usually one sunny day on the weekends, but all the dreary weather definitely has affected my mood. I can't wait for the clouds to part for some sunny, non-humid fall days.

Thanks so much for having me Michaela! :)

Thanks for sharing, Ashley! Do you think it'd be okay if I came along to Paris with her? :) I also can't wait for fall and the boots/sweater weather that comes with it.

Go say hello over at Attempts at Domestication!

Happy Wednesday!

She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not

Today I'm popping in to share a few quick things I'm loving and one thing we're not diggin' at all around here.

1. I worked on a fun How-To feature for a particularly exciting publication last week with my talented friend and photographer, Nicole Dianne. Here's a sneak peek!

2. This pretty lady and her stunning home tour are in the latest edition of Rue Magazine. Love her, love her style. Check it out! {The whole issue is drool-worthy!}

3.  My best friend is having her baby next week and I'm soooo excited for her! God has truly blessed them with this precious baby boy and I can't wait to see his face, and see Ashley as a mama. My heart is aching to be there when he's born, but September will have to do! You'll get to see his nursery I designed and Ashley executed next week. Stay tuned. Here's a peek for now...

1. Our sweet girl, Hope, has seriously hurt her knee. She tore her ACLS, and we now have the daunting task of keeping her from jumping, playing, running, and walking. She basically has to lay down 24/7 for this to heal. We find out next week if she needs surgery. If you think of her, say a little prayer please :) She's the most fun-loving, energetic dog on the planet, so keeping her still and laying down will be no easy task.

What are YOU loving and not loving this Wednesday?!

She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not: Chelsea & the City

Hello lovelies! If you've been around for awhile, you know Wednesdays is when I invite one of my fave bloggers to come share their loves and love-me-nots for the week. Today I'm thrilled to be introducing you to Chelsea of Chelsea & The City
First of all, I die over her blog name. So cute, right?! I sort of wish I got more creative with mine :) This girl has such a zest for life, style for days, and the kindest of hearts.  She does some of my favorite style series in all of blog land. I'm excited for you to meet her and hear her rants and raves.
***

Hello! I'm Chelsea and I blog over at Chelsea & The City, a lifestyle blog where I explore all of the little things I love, share outfits and a little bit of interior inspiration. I'm thrilled to be guest posting for Michaela today and sharing a few things I love and a big thing that I don't!

my daughter, lorelai // Lo just turned two and she's the best little friend a girl could ask for! I just love exploring the world through her eyes and it's so much fun to spend our days learning, going on adventures and snuggling.

tomato sandwiches //  Maybe this is a Southern thing, but there's nothing better on a warm Summer day than an heirloom tomato sandwich... YUM!

beautiful southern homes // My little family has spent the last few years in starter apartments and I can't help but daydream about the perfect plantation style home complete with Spanish moss covered trees.

hanging out in my pjs // As much as I love getting dressed up and being girly, I adore long mornings in bed. My favorite thing ever is a classic pajama set, a cup of coffee and laying like broccoli (high-five if you got that Pretty Woman reference!).

inspiration boards // I'm a collector/magpie by heart. I'm attracted to pretty graphics and inspiring words and I love to display them on an old fashioned cork board. Pinterest is AMAZING (check me out here) but I like having physical reminders to stop and enjoy life's pretties as well!

dinner al fresco // Thank God for Summer, everything tastes better outside. Am I right?

mornings // I just can't do it! I wish I were one of those people who could wake up at six, workout and get ready before the kids are up but I will sleep until noon if nobody wakes me and I'm not sorry. Lorelai has been on my schedule from the start and we have intense snuggle sessions until the very last minute. Early birds, teach me your ways!

Thanks for having me Michaela, this was so much fun to create! xoxo

We're all with you on early mornings! Someone move me to the South in one of those charming homes. SO stunning! Who's with me?!

Go say hello over at Chelsea & The City today!

What are YOU loving and not loving this week? Tell me!

She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not: Style Me Swanky

It's Wednesday again! Where do the weeks go?! I'm excited to share my friend Megan with you today from Style Me Swanky.
Megan is sweet as can be, has impeccable style and is always a great source of inspiration! I know you'll adore her, just like I do!
***

Hello!  I'm Megan from Style Me Swanky, where I post about fashion, beauty, home interiors, and my life as a newlywed in Charleston, SC.  I am so thrilled that Michaela asked me to be a part of this series!  Here are some of the things I'm loving and well, not so much.
1//  These three scents.
In my home, you can find the NEST "Bamboo" candleArchipelago Botanicals "Charleston" diffuser (& its candle!), and Voluspa "Laguna" candle.  All three of these scents flow so well together... all three are light with hints of white florals.
This is, by far, my favorite white wine.  It's incredibly refreshing and pairs well with all of my favorite chicken and fish dishes.  Plus, it doesn't break the bank!

3//  This sunset spent with my husband last weekend.

Ahh... I need it.  In my closet.  Yesterday.

5// This tub.  That view. Can you imagine relaxing in this bathroom every night?  My ideal form of relaxation is soaking in the tub with lavender epsom salt, a good candle, and a stack of magazines.  Doing that in this tub would be Heaven!

5//  Chinese Laundry "Easy Does It" D'orsay
These d'orsays are only $59 and look almost identical to the Jenni Kayne d'orsay's for $450!
1.  Email Hackers!
I knew it would happen eventually, but my email security was compromised this weekend by someone in the Ukraine.  Hundreds of inappropriate emails were sent out to people on my contact lists.  What a headache!

2.  Losing your favorite shades.
These Gucci glasses were my absolute favorites and they went swimming at the bottom of the Beaufort river this weekend.  I'm so sad!
***
Thanks, Megan! Why is it that we loose sunglasses so much more than anything else?! :) A relaxing bath in that tub is definitely on my list of must-dos.

Go say hello at Style Me Swanky today!

What are YOU loving {and not loving} this week?

She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not: No.9

Today I'm sharing a few things I'm loving and not loving for the week. Let's dive in!

 1. One of my best friends was married on Sunday and we had such a fun weekend and day celebrating! My friend Danielle captured their gorgeous day.

2. Strawberry-banana-kale-smoothies. I've been making one every morning lately and it's proving to be a wonderful way to start the day! It is also a great way to get your greens without knowing you're eating them :) I should share the recipe soon!
via

3. Fresh and healthy hair. I'm planning to try this hair mask sometime this week!

4. This colorful gallery wall. What a great way to display all your art {and even your children's art!} for all to see.

5. Exploring San Francisco! I am from the Bay Area, but not specifically from the city of SF, so going into work for Rue Magazine in the city once a week has been so fun. Finally I'm getting to know this great city-- and it's also fun to have a night out on the town with the Rue girls! Last night we went to Sens restaurant...it was delicious!

1. Driving. I've been in and out of town for the past couple of weeks and I'm ready to be home in one spot for more than 5 days at a time!

2. Waiting in lines. Yep, I said it. I'm impatient. Especially when the line for Starbucks is out the door and I have somewhere to go, but really want that passion tea :)

3. Hope now swims in our jacuzzi in the back yard. You may think this is funny, but it's actually quite annoying! Anytime we take her outside to play ball, she dives in the hot tub and does a lap, then goes straight to the grass to roll around. Bath time is becoming a very frequent thing around here.

Your turn! What are YOU loving and not loving this week?
