World of Color

Aren't you glad we live in a world of color?
Don't get me wrong, there's something to be said about a stunning black and white photograph and such, but color in our lives just makes everything a little sweeter. Pantone {a company that forecasts, teaches, and watches trends in color} recently coined these colors as the Fall 2011 trends.

I think they're pretty on the dot with these colors! When I look at this image, I see jewel tones, pastels, vibrant, fresh, chic, and calming hues. You know what's funny though? Just by a company or magazine simply saying they are "predicting" a trend, means it will actually happen. Why? Because, they aren't truly predicting it, but rather they're telling you what, in fact, will be out in stores that season.  Ultimately they are planting a trend in your head before it ever happens, so when you see it you'll already love it! Tricky tricky (:

Whether these colors are seen in large or small doses, they're definitely popping up all over!

Of course, the colors are big in fashion this fall, too, because interiors and fashion run together! Out of all these colors, which is your favorite?!

Love,

  1. I don't know what it is, but I just love Pantone!! I think I need a little more deep teal and coffee liqueur in my life :)

  2. I'm in love with all things pink so I'm going to have to go with the honeysuckle (though it's not my favourite pink shade) and the orchid...all so pretty.
